My husband's cousin lives near Austin, and the wildflowers were so pretty down there. She has some amazing plants and trees in her garden that made me wish they would grow here at home, or even in Tyler, but it's a different climate.&nbsp;</p> <p>Peri, I saw my oldest stepson this morning, and he was wearing a hat from a feed and seed place in Troup. My husband burns the leftover hay that is not eaten by the cows so it will break down faster and not kill the grass beneath it. The grass grows back better this way. Their gardens were absolutely gorgeous, and even though I was sweaty in my running clothes, I had to take a little tour through their yard. There are home tours in the spring in this particular neighborhood, and certain streets are marked for the season with "Azalea Trails" so you can follow the most scenic streets and see the houses on the tour, many of them historic. I have to confess, I kind of take Tyler for granted, but there are some neat things about the town, and it's grown a lot in the time I've known my husband (it's where he grew up).
