She was an amazing, vibrant activist who was in her 70's when I met her, and I always thought she looked wonderful in her one-of-a-kind Docs and the pink or purple streak she often added to her white hair. Among the many things I admired about her was the way she maintained her preferred punky-boho style throughout her later years. She never felt she had to look more conservative because she was old (she never shied away from that word)!
