I will hunt down some fabric softener (I never use it in the wash since I don't like the scents on things) and try that with the bootcuts at least - and maybe I can trick the skinnies back to shape. I really like them overall.

Thank you for the info!

Christieanne,
I have worn my demi-curve gray straightleg jeans 4 times and have no issue with stretch or bag that I can tell. I did wash them first (yes I am one of those queasy ones) :). I also have two pairs of demi-curve skinnies and have worn each at least 3 or 4 times and again have not experienced any stretching and bagging. Again...I did wash them first.

I've also heard and tried the trick with any pants that contain stretch, to wash them first and make sure you use fabric softener with them before you wear them. There's something about the fabric softener that "sets" the fabric so that it doesn't stretch. I've done with this with two pairs of pants now and it has worked for me. But you have to do it before you've ever worn them so that the fibers haven't moved at all yet.

I have three pairs of CurveID jeans (all bold curve). They stretch a bit when you wear them for the first time out of the store and, later, out of the wash. But they always bounce back, and I can't say that the shape has changed in any significant way. They're the only brand of jeans that I've had that experience with.

PS -- I read in a magazing (I think it was InStyle) that if you want your jeans to bounce back, you should put them in the freezer for a little while. Maybe give that a try?

I bought the Curve ID demi bootcuts (classic midrise) about two weeks ago, Christieanne, and I've already worn them about four times! I washed them before I wore them.

I've noticed a bit of stretching overall with wear, but not nearly as much as some other lighter weight jeans I've had lately (like Gap--they're the worst!). I have a bit of room in the thighs, so I don't think they stretched there on me. They definitely bounce back with washing.

I am 5'9", with a long inseam, and the longs are just barely long enough for me. I really like the jeans, though--a good purchase. I'd like to get a straight-leg pair! I hope you enjoy your pairs.

christeanne, glad curve ID fit you! As for the thigh/pocket area, I think with jeans, that's where it generally bags out. If the jeans you bought is 100% cotton, you can just put it in the dryer and it will be back to how it was. It might be machine-dryable, but I'd be wary sticking it in the dryer if there's lycra/spandex in it.

I tried curve ID a long time ago too. I'm supposedly a slight curve, thanks to my rectangle/apple figure (more apple below the waist and above the hips). Unfortunately for me, the curve ID never worked because it dug into the largest part of my torso and made me look larger than it already is. I do LOVE LOVE LOVE the concept of the curve ID sizing though, but it's just too bad they're still not made for apple-types like myself

Christianne I am glad you started a discussion on Curves ID because I am intrigued by them.

According to their measurements I should take a slight curve, which surprised me. I haven't however tried them on yet (if they are available in australia at all, but I thinkthey would be)
Pity about the stretching. I can't think how washing would affect it ( I always wear mine for as long as possible without washing after I buy them to enjoy the new feel!)

Oh dear! I hope they tighten up in the wash. I don't have any experience but did want to chime in on the fit. I tried the demi curve boot cut too and was pleasantly surprised at how well they fit--waist, rise, and thighs. The length with heels was fine but I did notice that the knee break was off on me. It was causing the fabric to buckle slightly above the knee on the outside. I've had this problem before with some Hudsons.

Fingers crossed that the stretching gets resolved.

I picked up Levi Curve Id skinny jeans and bootcut jeans a few days ago.Found the Demi Curve fit really well - I have a very flat posterior but an apple tummy and rectangle hips and the jeans don't slip at all. So nice compared to some of my other jeans. Have not worn the bootcuts yet.
I like the cross hatchy dark blue fabric, weight of fabric, length. The caution on the length is that I am 5'5" and bought a medium length. They fit almost perfect in length with a bit of fabric scrunched at ankles ( I like that on skinny jeans) but if I were 5'6" or taller, I'd order a Tall length.

The only problem seems to be that the thighs/pocket area stretched during the day. I am so bummed. Any chance it's because I haven't washed them - wore them right out of bag (others might never do that but I am not a queasy type). I will wash and try again but I am praying this isn't a problem. Any other Curve iD owners seeing this? Maybe it's the fabric I have.
