I don't know how else to style them other than with a black top!! Nowadays I do change up the shoes and wear more interesting ones (like giraffe print) but they still seem so limiting. I think khakis are very preppy, American classic and will never go out of style though the cuts may change over the years. I have not personally worn mine for awhile now - mostly because my old pair presented a fit challenge last year (i.e. my butt seems have disappeared after baby #2).
