<p>Wow, that skirt print is lovely. I want that and I don't usually like florals!

<p>so...if you are serious about a retail job, i'm going to suggest not buying anything until &nbsp;that search is over...while i can't speak to the rules in Germany, in the US most retail establishments have specific dress codes which generally require that you dress in ways that represent the brand you are selling (they will not require you wear that brand, but will offer a nice discount). so unless this is an immediate need, i'd wait.&nbsp;

<p>I love the skirt for you- it’s a length you enjoy, and the cut and print look versatile. I’m less sold on the top, especially since you mention having other sweaters. Does it fill a hole? Do you need more tops to wear with the white skinnies or cranberry boot cuts? It also looks a bit cropped, so I’d only order, if you can return it. Since you’re fairly tall, I’d be worried it might not be the right length for the various bottoms you have in mind, and you could end up with a bit of “choppiness” in terms of blue top, layering top, waistband. Not that that’s bad, more that I’d want to try it on, to gauge the effect.

<p>Love the skirt - great dark florals! <br />I think for that blue top you have two &nbsp;choices: one is playing different tops under ( cami or sleeveless tank-top, fit lab ) or - doing a bit of a needle work and adding a few stitches ( very few, tiny ) to close the opening of the neckline a smidge higher. I have done that a few times for some very deep v-necks - nobody really noticed.</p>

<p>I love the skirt for you. It has such pretty colors, and it will have nice movement.</p>
<p>I'm not as keen on the top if you plan to layer under it. I think that you will run into problems in the shoulder area, with there being too much fabric. If you don't like the low neckline, you could try wearing a white cami underneath, which would eliminate any bunching in the armpits, and add a scarf.</p>
<p>I will admit that I often don't have a lot of luck layering stuff like this. I always end up with what seems like competing necklines (shirt plus cami), and it just looks messy.

<p>Those are pretty. The blue top would have to fit perfectly through the bust. It looks like it may be pulling a little even on the model depending on how she stands.

<p>As far as layering under, I'd say a scoop neck, lower than the neckline, or one that matches where the lower bit begins.

<p>I *think* I want an enabler, but if I'm being dumb, I want somebody to tell me that, too. The sweater is where I really am not sure--not like I don't have any here already!

<p>
<div>I announced nearly a year ago that I want to buy locally-made clothing, or clothing from second-hand stores, only. Since then I have bought...a handful of things at Zalando (3 jumpsuits, a blackberry cardigan, a sleeveless paisley blouse that goes with everything, 3/4 sleeve cream top, a dress that was altered to wear backwards, and cranberry bell-bottom jeans), one Italian-made vest /cape at a market, and then nothing. Irritation at myself over the Zalando purchase pushed me to stop shopping there; the item made in Europe is an improvement, but not all the way to where I want to be (although I haven't exactly decided on the borders of "local" for me; Northern Italy is pretty far away, but it's closer than East Asia, with better labor laws. Anyway...)</div><div><br /></div><div>I have browsed in a few boutiques, and collected names of local designers there and at markets. But I'm realizing that I really like the encyclopedic feeling of web shopping and large department stores. What's a locally-promised shopper to do? Then it hit me: shop local labels online! D'oh.<br /></div><div><br /></div><div>These are from my first dive into a local brand, Vive Maria. I haven't decided yet if I will order them. <br /></div><div><br /></div><div>The skirt is so yummy. I can picture exactly how I'd wear it: with my berry-colored sweaters or the teal T-neck sweater I pulled out of the wardrobe recently, with black tights (if the background is black--I can't tell) and my blue pumps. To change it up, I could wear a black sweater and black boots. The model is 4 cm shorter than me, so it would be further above my knees, but I think that would work. <br /></div><div><br /></div><div>I'm a sucker for a sailor suit. Have I said that on here before? It probably underlies my weakness for blue dresses. Anyway, I'm wondering how this top would work with either a white T-neck or a white crew neck top underneath it. Both are very fitted underlayers, so wouldn't make lumps or bumps; it's the necklines I'm thinking about. On the bottom would be cranberry bootcuts, white skinnies or blue jeans. Would these work, or should they be full-length?<br /></div><div><br /></div><div>Should I do it?<br /> </div></p>
