Sadly, I think the sleeves are .5" - 1" too long, and the body is probably 1" - 2" too long. If it were shorter, the back vent wouldn't be pulling open, and it wouldn't fall below your crotch. I don't think I'd want to see the slash pockets a full 2" higher, but maybe at least .5" higher. Maybe you could try pinning or even lifting it from the top just to explore? </p> <p>I know how filled you were with anticipation regarding this jacket. But it does look a bit better to me - there seems to be less emphasis on the hips now that it's not so wrinkly. Also, the lighting here makes it seem less shiny.</p> <p>I do get what Angie is saying though, about the insets hanging too low. I think this might be contributing to the odd shape because it's almost as is it's making your waist and hips appear LOWER than they should be. Nothing wrong with dropped waists and hips, but combined with the way the insets make your hips appear wider, it's somewhat odd.
