She went yet a 3rd time with a friend.</p> <p>Excellent move, IMO. Loved both the acting and the singing. Anne Hathaway's performance was nothing short of superb. Thankfully, I didn't wear makeup because I figured I might cry at some point. I had read the book years ago and was thrilled with the film. Such beautiful cinematography. We also saw Lincoln when we were in NYC earlier in November - another great movie. It's funny, we probably saw all of two movies in 2011, but there were so many I wanted to see this season. Another favorite was Moonrise Kingdom, one of the most delightful films I've seen in years.</p> <p>Suz, I just looked up Anthony Lane's review - so funny! My daughter was quite enthralled. Hubs had read some very lukewarm to negative reviews before we went and hesitated to go on that basis. But I think he ended up liking it best of all. </p> <p> I must admit that I laughed pretty hard at Anthony Lane's (unfavourable) review afterwards, too -- he can be so accurately cutting.
