I think I'd love that jacket with black leather leggings and a black turtleneck and a chunky necklace. Let the coat be the star of your outfit... as if it would let it be any other way!

Animal print coats are a lot to commit to, but SO FUN. The low contrast versions are less bold, and one way to go.

I have this Tracy Reese one. It is not faux fur but has a faux fur detachable collar. I don't wear it much partly because it's so dramatic but mostly because my climate is mild. I never wear it with the faux fur collar because I find my hair gets caught in it and it just makes me feel like a hot mess. I do like it without the collar and would probably wear it more if weather permitted. But it is a bit of a statement piece.

I have a brocade animal print coat - really an oversize blazer and not a winter coat by any means. I have only worn it once or twice since buying it last year - just never gets picked first. Truthfully i keep forgetting I have it.
 I love the look of the furry ones too but every time I try one on or feel up the fake fur, I feel like an 8 year old. I will admit to owning a faux fur shorter length one I bought from Joe Fresh a few years ago, and I only wear it about once a year (Christmas Day, New Year's Eve etc if I'm really dressed up and feel like being extra glam). I haven't been brave enough to go ironic and try it out with denim etc and show myself to the general public . It was really inexpensive so it doesn't bug me for not being worn.

I have one from Forever 21. They have surprisingly lovely ones in pretty classic shapes. I get the stuffed animal vibe, but I think if you wear it in an intentionally retro way, it feels more natural. I do find that I am more likely to wear it in the evening or late afternoon and I like to wear it with pretty classic, minimalist outfits. Although I'm thinking denim on denim might be another idea....

you know, it's a good topic. Mine is a faux fur, flattish, classic shape. I love it and rarely wear it. Part of it is time of day. I get up early and go a lot of places in the morning, for choice. I don't think it's a good look for morning - kind of walk-of-shame-ish. :D

The real question is what kind of everyday clothes does it go with? It either looks like playful college girl - like the picture with the loafers - or it can look awfully rock 'n' roll wannabe. Like: I shop in flea markets while I'm waiting for the band to set up.

I think it is easiest to wear when it is leopard printed fabric and is then just a chic print. Or Carine Roitfeld is doing a collaboration with Uniqlo, it might be, and she advocates a very dark greyish, blackish leopard. Very dark and it makes it more like a texture.

Oh yes, I wear a Michael Kors leopard-print knee-length trenchcoat when weather permits. It's awesome, and I always get compliments on it. I always make sure the rest of my outfit isn't competing with it, though. I just love that thing. Don't know if I could pull off full-length leopard, though. That's a big look.

I do, but the jacket is cropped and brocade and I think both of those elements tone it down a bit. I also have leopard pants, but they are gray and the print is smaller scale. I think I'd feel subconscious in a full-length faux fur coat.

I am a fan of leopard print, with a couple of shoes, belts and bags and one jersey in my closet. I'm often drawn to outfits that feature leopard print coats.

Like <http://www.iwanttobeher.com/ou.....wave-prep/>

<http://www.thegloss.com/2014/1.....s-wear-to-...>

But, IRL, I can't help but worry that I would look like a large possum (which is how people often look to me in real furs) or a stuffed animal (fake furs) look to me. Do any of you wear a leopard coat -- or some animal print in a large scale piece?

Not that I don't have the DVF long cardi, but its print is so dark, I almost don't count it.
