I have a pancake butt, so jeans and especially slacks, get folds at the upper thigh. The only way to really, really address this problem is to sew or buy custom pants and make that back crotch seam very shallow and then adjust the rest accordingly.</p> <p>JAileen and Susie: I wasn't planning to wash these before taking them in to Nordstrom for the hem, mostly because my dryer has only been air drying for weeks so no possibility of shrinkage. But tomorrow, the repair guy is coming over. These jeans are pretty thin, so not sure they would shrink the way that heavy denim does.</p> <p>Angie and cjh: Thanks for affirming re length as well. Black is so difficult! I tried standing on light paper, but it was no easier to see the hem line so I figured a contrasting shoe/clog would work. They came with a raw edge to look like a hem let down, but since this is a regular and not Petite size they are many inches too long so I would have them hemmed like regular jeans. I tried to pin them to be as long as possible while allowing for a bit of shrinkage just in case. . .What do you think? These are super, super high waisted so the belt circles my actual waistline. </p>
