If you don't plan to wear your BF jeans unrolled I would suggest to decide where is you sweet spot for the roll on the lowest length and crop them so you have 2-3 small rolls to that length.
I think of doing this with my new white BF jeans - they are too short to wear unrolled anyway and tapered enough so when I roll them they get stuck on my calves...need to get the scissors out!

I have multiple pairs and some offer scrunch and some do not. If I recall yours are slimmer fitting which I would prefer to have a little scrunch when unrolled and to roll just a little above ankle.
I don't often roll my skinny ones. I mostly prefer my slim leg ones that I can roll just a little and it's slightly above my ankle (down they can pass for full length with higher ankle booties but never have scrunch). In the winter I prefer longer so I can wear with booties and not be ankle exposed (these are my more oversized and slightly drop-crotch but still straight leg - one size up J Crew Matchsticks)

Angie, if you were to wear your Camerons barefoot, would there be any scrunch? Can't wait until you unveil them. Also don't you find if you roll once it is prone to come undone? I guess it is a sacrifice for a non-bulky roll.

Yeah, Gaylene, they look really unattractive on me uncuffed, so that's why I am not interested in wearing them that way. The ankles taper a lot but the legs are baggy and it just doesn't look good. When it comes to the length and cuffing though I am so unused to wearing non full-length trousers though that I barely trust my own eye. You are right that I need to "practice" in the mirror.

Astrid, these are from Marc O'Polo, but I would mention I have seen bloggers mainly wearing BFs from Zara as far as I have noticed. I just happened upon these and don't get out much at the moment so I didn't look further.

Thank you to everyone for your detailed responses and please keep them coming. It is very interesting.

My nonslouchy BF's are long enough to have some ankle scrunch unrolled. I didnt set out to get BFs but these jeans had the wash and amount of distressing I wanted. Unrolled they are like skinnies so I'm not gonna hem.

I like mine at this length with low heels. A roll shorter when I wear flats.

That said, I MUCH prefer my full length BF jeans that I can roll once and they still scrunch well over the ankle. (TR Camerons). I still have to do an outfit post on those.

Like Gaylene, I do not like a bulky cuff.
OK, realize that I'm a complete beginner at this slouchy, rolled-leg thing so feel free to ignore my thoughts on the subject and listen to others who have much more expertise. But in my recent foray into this area, I did find, for me, the mirror was my best guide as to where and how to cuff. It was surprising how even one more turn of the cloth could either make, or break, the overall effect.

In my case, wearing the pants unrolled just doesn't look very good, so I'm not worried about cutting the leg shorter to keep the cuff looking trim. A bulky cuff on my sturdy leg isn't doing me any favors.
I don't own any full-length BFs, although I wish I did. What seems to be the standard BF length around here is about 29" which hits just at my ankle and is super unflattering especially for a BF jean. So I always roll them (unless I'm stuffing them into boots); about 3 medium-ish rolls gets to the bottom of my calf muscle. Sometimes I scrunch them up a little too.

I suspect that if I were to ever find full length ones (I'd want them practically dragging on the ground), they be full-length only since the amount I'd have to roll them might make the hem too bulky. On the other hand, I do have my ripped-up straight legs which are super long (like 34" inseam or something), and I fold up the hem once to wear as full-length with lower heel shoes, and roll it several times for a cuffed look. It does have to be a pretty wide cuff though for that to work. They are 100% cotton and on the thin side though, which I think makes a difference.
I have two pairs of BF jeans - one pair is a bit longer so I wear them unrolled in winter with booties, and the other pair is too short so that the "roll" is not so bulky when I wear them rolled up with sandals and "sassy" sneakers. If you can commit to one season or the other, go for it, otherwise, you'll have to compromise by having a slightly bulkier roll.

Just take a little off then so that when roles the cuff is where you want it and not bulky. If you are never intending on wearing them full length then it is fine! The grey ones I wore yesterday unrolled come to an inch above my ankle bone.

I only have that one pair and they're a darker wash. I also wanted to wear them in fall and winter so I hemmed them so that they were PPL unrolled (with my sneakers, oxfords and so on). I roll them three to four times now and I think the length looks alright, but shorter isn't possible - the cuff would be too bulky. I thought about getting a lightwash pair for summer (before they're not available anylonger) and I'm not sure what length I'd go for then. Where did you buy yours, if I may ask?

Where do your BF's hit your leg uncuffed, or where would they ideally? How many times do you like to roll them?

Now that I have my first pair, (and they don't seem to bag out a lot, yay!) I want to hem them a bit so that the cuff is not so bulky. However I am a bit perplexed how to decide on the length, Usually I honestly take a good 5 inches off of regular trousers, but if I did that to these they would hit above my ankle when un-cuffed, which is such a novel concept that it makes me uncomfortable. Besides that, I know several taller ladies here are ruing that their BFs are not a bit longer than they are. I want to wear my jeans cuffed with summer shoes or with ankle boots. I would probably never want to wear them uncuffed. You can see them in this thread:
