You've made my decision a lot easier. I will return the jacket and look for a more cropped version. I like everything else about it, but the main purpose of buying it is to wear it with dresses, so most likely this one will not give enough ROI (and it's pretty expensive, too). </p> <p>Suz: I think the kid's department can be the right place for girls like us under certain circumstances. The jacket I'm trying to replace is in fact a H&amp;M jacket inherited from my youngest daughter, size 13 years! The fit is better than adult sizes, but I don't like the style. Fit looks good, but if you want to put emphasis on your waist with dresses and skirts a cropped denim is better.</p> <p>I would also consider shortening the sleeves so that you can choose to scrunch or not. I'm about 5'1 (157 cm) and all long sleeve tops / jackets need to be shortened, either to the instep(?) or 3/4 length. For dresses and skirts a more cropped one will work better. </p> <p>Don't laugh - I was able to pick up a cropped jacket in the KIDS section of Old Navy (not sure if you have similar in Norway). It had stretch and it was the right cut...and it fit better than the grownup version on me.
