				<description>&#060;p&#062;I've not been biking since October. I kind of switch over to more running in the cold weather. These days I do a lot of walking, and less running -- I could do a 5K without a walk break right now, but I'd need to make a training effort to do more. However, I can walk all. day. long. I walk hills a LOT too. When we were on vacation in Mexico, I took very hilly walk/runs for an hour and a half everyday and felt good doing it.&#038;nbsp;&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;My upper body is another story. I'm looking forward to giving my arms and upper back more of a workout, at least one that isn't from shoveling snow -- it's really hard to keep good form doing that. ;-)&#038;nbsp;&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;I've done three days of this workout now, and I feel a bit of soreness in my abs and in my quads, but not debilitating. Oddly enough, I think my photography activity keeps my quads working a lot too -- I squat and get down and up a LOT when I'm out taking pictures. So maybe those thick thighs of mine are a strength blessing in disguise! ;-)&#038;nbsp;&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;I bought little hand weights while I was out yesterday -- I sprung for the two-pound and the three-pound, considering they were all of $7 per pair at TJMaxx.  <span aria-hidden="true" class="emoticon emoticon-wink icon-emoticon-wink "></span>  I figure I can work my way up as I gain strength. Still, I'm a bit surprised this workout has been manageable for me. I guess I'm in better shape than I thought, even though my weight and size are not where I would like to be.&#038;nbsp;&#060;/p&#062;

				<description>&#060;p&#062;Feeling pretty good this morning -- I guess it's that I already get a lot of leg work with the running/walking I'm doing (not that I'm doing as much these days as I was a couple of years ago). We'll see how it goes when I add weights! I couldn't find the ones I thought I had -- I might have given them away in a fit of purging years ago. Maybe when I venture out in the cold for a grocery run later today, I'll stop at Marshall's or TJMaxx and see if they have some. They always seem to have some sets along with yoga mats and other fitness equipment.

				<description>&#060;p&#062;In all, I did 4 days in a row, a good walk the other day, and the weekend off. I added little weights after the first day, and survived : )&#060;br /&#062;
It is a good short workout. I'll use it again, and it's a good reminder that I *can* push myself.&#060;br /&#062;

I'm not a huge wuss about running/walking in the cold weather, but sometimes -- like today with huge wind gusts -- I just really don't want to do it and would love to have an indoor option to get a good workout in.&#038;nbsp;&#060;/p&#062;

				<description>&#060;p&#062;OK, I have been curious, and I just decided to do this video this morning before I shower and get ready to go to the studio. I did it without weights (I think I have some old hand weights in the basement -- I'll have to look for them), and I actually think it wasn't too bad! Maybe the running I do has helped the leg strength and cardio part of it. Of course, I may be singing a different tune tomorrow morning if my legs are sore then.  <span aria-hidden="true" class="emoticon emoticon-wink icon-emoticon-wink "></span>  I had no problem with the cardio aspect. I suspect that the weights will make a big difference for me, since my arm strength is pretty meager, and arm movements make a big difference in cardio work too.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;I have had a sore shoulder and upper back ever since shoveling snow and then scrubbing bathtubs and scraping floors over the last couple of weeks, so I'm going to take it slow with the weights. But this seems to be a pretty efficient half hour workout to fit in a busy day.

				<description>&#060;p&#062;Not doing this program (although I do have a couple of Jillian's videos). &#038;nbsp;I just wanted to pop on and say I have found, particularly when starting up a new program, that my muscles take longer to recover than they did in my 20s. &#038;nbsp;My understanding is that it is a wise move to either give an extra day of recovery between workouts, or alternate a tough workout with a lighter one (more of a recovery workout). &#038;nbsp;&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;And it does get easier! &#038;nbsp;That's the only truth that keeps me going!
