Regular sizes in bottoms, NEVA. Oh no, I have to let out the LONG inseams to wear with heels. It's very challenging.I am not sure how those 5.11 and up long legged models you see get dressed, not sure at all.

Hi Zap! That is *wild* about your inseam! Your legs must be soooo long! On the one hand, long legs are gorgeous; on the other hand, I know you must struggle sometimes in finding pants! Even though I am tall, I can sometimes wear regular-length pants, especially if they are straight or tapered so I don't have to concern myself with PPL (or if they are a little short, I can tuck into booties if it's booties weather). Tricky business for you and pants :(.

Hi Jonesy,
Long time no see;)

My conclusion: My legs must be abnormally long. I am only 5.8 and the large was about half an inch above my ankle, I had the waistband at around that same point, an inch and a half below my belly button. Boo ;(

I am so glad they worked for you.

Yes, definitely Team Giraffe :).

The only thing that would make me happier would be if these pants came with a white tuxedo stripe down the leg! I have tried to find a well-made tuxedo pair at a reasonable price for a while....

Angie, I used to measure at 5'11" but at my most recent doctor's appointment they told me I was now around 5'10"--I guess I am shrinking in my mid-40s!! My legs really aren't that long, actually. I think a decent amount of my height is in my neck :).

Yes, the pants are fab, and at such a great price!

I had to resurrect this thread because I have joined the Leith track pants club! I already had two pairs of slouchy, silky pants (in black and gray) but they were cropped and had an elastic cuff. I have worn the heck out of them, and was excited to try the Leiths. I am 5'10" and generally wear a size 10 in pants. I think my inseam from crotch to floor is about 32", like Sveta's. I ordered the pants in a L and they are fab. I wear the waistband about 1.5 inches below my belly button, on my high hip (which is where I like to wear elasticized waistbands), and there is plenty of length, even a bit of scrunch at the bottom. The crotch is certainly dropped and the legs are roomy, which I like. The zippers at the bottom are totally ingenious, because you can unzip them a bit, depending on the bootie/shoe you are wearing.

Just thought I'd share my testimonial, in case any tall YLFers were still on the fence about them :).

Size up so the length is right - the beauty of this style is that the fit does not have to be exact, they allow for lots of leeway in sizing and they will look stunning on you.

Angie, this is right that my "Shannon's" trousers have 30.5" inseam and I can wear them low on the hips AND with booties with heels. However they ultimately drive me crazy being too short and needing to wear them much lower than I would prefer and even then not providing any scrunch on the ankles. :-(
I think 32" would me my perfect length for slouchy trousers so I can vary how low I want to wear them and have some scrunch going on.
Kyle, I suspect your legs are longer than mine even if I am 1" or so taller than you...my inseam in bare feet is 32".
Thanks for the review, Kyle. I wondered if I made a right decision to pass on these trousers due tothe length and it looks that I was right after all...

I should add that I also tried on XL, since that was the other size on hand, and they were definitely longer. Maybe sizing up is the way to go with these.

I have to chime in from Oscar viewing and say that 30 inch inseams have been working for 6 ft tall Sveta!!! She has been wearing them lower on her hips which increases the length.

And they worked for tall Claudia too.

Do not ignore the style because of the length just yet

Crutcher, I am 5'9" with long legs for my height, I normally wear a 30/31 in jeans and prefer at least a 34" inseam for shoes with a small heel, and a size 10/12 in pants and skirts. I have these in size L and XL. If I wear them on my hips, they have just enough scrunch and slouchiness. Pulled higher up, the XL still works, but like peg leg pants. I think you should give them a try and go up a size if you haven't already had these on and found they don't work for you.

BTW both size pants I have have 30" inseams, but the bigger size up had a longer rise, so the leg dropped down with the dropped crotch making that 30" inseam longer by a couple of inches.

Sorry they didn't work out for you Kyle. I suspect the look would be different for those with long legs -- they'd be more akin to cropped, drapey pants.

I was out and about yesterday and happened upon the now-famous Leiths at my local Nordstrom. They did not have a M, so I had to try a small, but they were really just too short. I can see how they would be flattering, especially if they were scrunchy at the ankle and a bit slouchy overall. I think they would work for anyone 5' 7" and below, or possibly 5'8 or 5'9" but probably not if your legs happen to be extra long as mine are.

Thought the nice lightweight, drapey fabric would make these a wonderful option for hot summers and a nice alternative to heavier jeans or trousers. Versatile, too.
