If you love Converse, you might try the Shoreline Slip-ons--I really love them because they don't come up as far in the vamp as do the other styles. (But, I'm short and stocky with short feet, so YMMV )

I'm 5'4" with a size 9 foot, and in certain shoes I do feel my foot looks disproportionate to my body. I echo everything Runs With Scissors says. I avoid pointy toes (for both comfort and aesthetic reasons); cuff my pants or wear ankle-length pants which adds a horizontal line; wear shoes with cap toes, brogues, etc, to break up the foot. I've never been a fan of skinny jeans, but I imagine any pants with a bit more bulk or volume at the cuff would help balance proportions. I lived in Chuck Taylors and bootcuts for years and years, through high school and college. And honestly, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Most people never notice other people's feet.

Did you know that Audrey Hepburn had really big feet? Neither did I until I watched an interview of someone who clothed her for Breakfast at Tiffany’s. So you are probably the only person who notices your foot size.

I'm 5'7" and wear an 11. My foot's on the narrow side of medium, and low volume. I totally get what you're saying, and it used to bug me too. My current strategy is to not care, and it works the best by far. :) But it took a few decades to get there, so I feel your pain.

Wide-legs and boot-cuts mean less of your foot is showing. Cropped tapered pants with some skin showing looks better to me than full-length skinnies, too.

Shoes with horizontal lines (cap-toe ballets, mary janes, boots with a seam across the toe, shoelaces that tie in an extra-big bow ...) visually break up the length of the foot. I find skipping the last set of eyelets on my sneakers (so the bow is a little further from my ankle) makes some difference. I don't like tightly tied shoes anyhow, so this may not be universally practical.

I've never been a fan of pointy toes for comfort reasons, but they are the least flattering toe shape for a long foot too, I find round toes and square toes (another horizontal line!) the best for both comfort and foot flattery.

Ironically, I find "clumpy" shoes also distract from overall foot size. Because wedge heels, thick soles, etc. are supposed to take up visual space, I guess?

PS -- I love Converse. I tend to cuff my jeans when wearing them to show some skin (again, extra horizontal line) when wearing them.

I would suggest a straight leg jean (which is sometimes sold as a bootcut or slight bootcut these days, go figure). They sort of create a straight line from hip to foot, and that would help camouflage the length of your feet. Wearing them with heels would possibly camouflage it more, since so much of the foot is on an angle and hiding in the jeans leg, leaving just the to box and part of the vamp visible.

Welcome! I'm inclined to say, just don't worry about it. Let your smiling face and confident attitude outshine any worries about foot size.

Higher heels and/or pant legs that cover part of your foot will help make your feet appear shorter. I'm interested to hear what others say.

I would suggest almond or round toe with a heel. Heels seem to make my feet look smaller for some reason.
I might also suggest booties or shoes that match your pants, so that your feet become part of your leg line.

As well, a pointy toe with a tight-to-the-ankle shaft makes feet look extra-big, IMO. But I just deal with it and try not to let it bother me too much, because pretty shoes are worth it!

I am no expert though. These are just things I’ve noticed on myself.

Hello! I just wanted your opinions on some confusion that I’ve been having. I have pretty average length legs for my size, they’re not very muscular looking (the circumference of my thighs are 18” and my calves are 14”. The outseam length is 36.5”). However, I have long, slender feet. I’m a size 10, so finding shoes and pants that don’t make me look/feel like Olive Oyl is a challenge. Keep in mind that I’m 5’4, my feet are just SO noticeable. I know skinny jeans and converse are out, I learned that the hard way. What styles of pants and shoes would you all suggest to make me look more balanced?
