I only found one brand that did not strangle me:

Capezio Women's Supplex® Legging

I buy them at amazon.com and I own both the capri and the full length. They also don't grin in the crotch area (which is a deal breaker for me). Oh. I also buy one size up. I get better coverage and I feel more comfortable.

I've been trying to incorporate leggings as lounge wear and under shorter dresses/longer tunics. I'd always assumed they would be more comfortable than jeans, but so far, any pair that doesn't strangle my waist is wrinkly/baggy in the legs, especially knees and calves. I'm a curvy hourglass, so it's not like my waist is disproportionately large, and I never thought of my legs as especially skinny.

Does anyone else have this problem? Or am I just unusually sensitive to the feel of an elastic band around my waist?
