I like how it flares out a bit. That is the look, for a skirt that length. To my eye, at least! My own comment was about leather + length. If we ignore that, and just talk length + shape, then I think this is JUST RIGHT shape for that length. I would not want to see this narrowed/pencil shaped. I think the proportions would be off. It's only a couple inches above my knees, nowhere near as short as on the model! That said, I don't know how it would work with a skirt like this that has stretchy fabric on the side. The way I figure it, if you are going to do leather, then you do it in a demure silhouette to tame it down.
