I don't have any other jackets on their way right now but I was considering the Michael Kors jacket that Tarzy has posted recently http://www.amazon.com/MICHAEL-.....nk-c899-20 so it's good to know they are cut differently. I am completely open to not getting a leather jacket this year if I cannot find one I absolutely love.

Do you have more options coming up? I like # 1 the best, out of this lot. The bunching might relax as you wear it more. I have exactly the same issue with the bunching in back, due to my hips. Have you tried a more curvier cut? I like Michael Kors.

Hmmm, I think the Tahari is just cut wrong for you - the fit is a bit off in both sizes. I like the red and the fit is good, but it's hard to tell about the color without seeing your face.

If I were you I'd take pictures of the red with a different top.

Thanks for all the feedback! I am leaning towards returning everything for now. If the red jacket in #2 goes on sale, I might reconsider (the price is too steep for me to keep and I feel like I need to take some time to think how much wear it will get).

I am not too fond of how the red jacket in #2 looks when open but overall the fit is good.

Just in case anyone else is looking at these jackets - the Tahari jacket is very soft and lightweight - would be perfect for right now. The AM red jacket is much more substantial (I was surprised how different it felt from all the other jackets I have tried). It would be a true outerwear jacket, probably suitable for late fall/early winter.

As far as the overall fit, it seems like all leather jackets I have tried look barrel-shaped on me when zipped up. I don't think I have a potbelly but this definitely makes me wonder if I should even bother with leather jackets. The back on most of these is wrinkly when zipped up - I think only very cropped jackets like the Muubaa do not have that issue on me.

Oh, and DH was dismissive of the brown Tahari jacket and fond of the red AM, so there is that, too.

The red is so cute on you!

I do like the Tahari in small - I don't think the bunching in the back is an automatic dealbreaker, but it would be for me personally. (Do jackets like this relax at all?)

Thanks for all your leather jacket posts - I am debating ordering the same jacket from Bluefly.

#1 is a little ill fitting zipped up, although it looks fine worn open.

I like 1 seeing all the photos together. But I actually like the fit of the M too - I prefer jackets a little big rather than fitted, so take that with a grain of salt.

Hm, I like #1. Kelly is right that the red doesn't look as good when it is unzipped. Does the bunching in the back of #1 bother you?

I really like the Tahari in small. I think it looks great zipped and open. The color of the AM is pretty but I don't care for the way it hangs when open.

Two more leather jackets have arrived and here they are for your consideration.

Tahari jacket size small (#1) and Andrew Marc jacket size M (#2) http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/an.....et/3322958.

For comparison, I also have photos of Tahari in M (too big; #3) and Muubaa jacket in brick (too small; I decided it is going back). What do you think?
