Faux leather has come a long, long way in looks, feel and quality, BUT the lack of breathability is the huge downside for me. Unless there are fabric panels to allow some venting, and even then depending on the temperature or how much I will be moving around, I usually can't wait to take them off.

I have jackets in both real leather and faux leather and wear them all equally. I won't lie - I prefer the real leather versions because they breathe better but the faux leather is a wonderful option. There are varying qualities of faux leather out there and some you honestly can't tell is faux until you touch it. Make sure you find the best quality you can. Faux is no longer a no-no IMO.

I have faux and real leather skirts and love them both.

Faux leather looks better than it once did and is more comfortable now also.

No pricey cleaning bills is a bonus.

I always thought faux leather was a big no no. Traditionally speaking, I think of plasticky pleather that looks....well... fake. But lately I'm seeing faux leather jackets all over the place that look fantastic online. Is it worth buying a faux leather jacket or is it better to save up and invest in the real thing?
