Actually, they started as Bop, a bricks and mortar store in downtown Madison, WI (where I grew up). It was a proud day when we got a store as hip and fashionable as Bop--I remember walking in one day in college and seeing Louis Vuitton purses and gasping aloud! And then they created shopbop.com which has about 1000 times the inventory of Bop. I've had nothing but excellent customer service over the years.
