Thanks Beth Ann! I'll keep looking there from time to time, who knows. For the last two years we had some very cold weeks, so I really need a new one if this year's the same.

Thanks Scarlet, you're right. I'm going to the post office later today to return it. Too bad it didn't work out!

I am sorry, Astrid, but I think it needs more waist definition.

I hear you Astrid -- Eddie Bauer doesn't do frequent sales, but the ones they do run are deep discounts. Good luck! I bought mine the week before Christmas last year for 40% off. We proceeded to have the warmest winter in decades! Who could've known! Still, I love the puffer coat because they offer such lightweight warmth.

Thanks Beth Ann! I had a look at Eddie Bauer from time to time, but they didn't go on sale and I didn't want to pay full price. And I really need one before it gets cold this year. Maybe I won't be able to avoid paying full price. It doesn't have to be a puffer anyway, but I need a really warm coat.

Thanks Shannon. I already tried that and to my eye it only highlights the fact that it's too big.

Thanks Lyn! Seems like this one will be going back too.

I think the colour is quite fab; but I don't feel the shape of the coat, sorry... I think you can do (and deserve) better

I do love the colour on you Astrid and the sleeves are good. Just a thought - have you pulled the inner waist cord tighter to make the waist more defined? I felt mine was a bit shapeless and bulky looking until I pulled in the waist.

Astrid -- I'm missed earlier threads. I have to tell you, though, that I had a hard time with LE fit on the puffers too, although I'm larger and not exactly your shape. I had great luck with Eddie Bauer puffers, and found a 40% off deal.

Thanks for your input Alecia. I'm really not sure about it.

Thanks Suz, it's true that I have a hard time finding one, but it still wouldn't be a good idea just to settle for something, would it? I agree about the color though. This is a small petite. Unfortunately the regular sized coat is only available with small as the smallest size, I don't know why they don't offer a extra small with the regular sizes.

Hmm. Well. I am of two minds. The colour's still fab. And you have had SUCH difficulty finding a winter coat. But it does seem rather on the roomy side.

Is this a petite or a regular? I ask because it does seem their sizing is quite different between the two size types. I have a top of theirs in a P small that I thought was a bit short, so I ordered the regular small. The regular small is HUGE on me; I have to send it back. So...just thinking...if this is a P, you might be able to size DOWN in regular for the right fit. Or if it is a regular, you might be able to fit the P.

I got the LE puffer today, I sized up to the next size. The sleeves are much better, but it's almost too roomy now. I'm wearing a thick fleece sweater underneath (my normal sweaters in winter are thinner) and there's still room. I know that it's in the nature of a puffer coat, but I feel a bit shapeless in it.

What do you think? Please excuse my sweat pants and damp hair.
