Good to know! Sounds like I would be sized out (XXS in Canvas, often sized out of regular Lands' End PXS anyway) of the puffers, for myself. And I will order the Petite Small for my mom.

They run large and IMO *also* have room to layer built in. The XS were still big on me and would have easily accomodated multiple underlayers. My size 2 J. Crew trench can layer over a blazer, for example, and I bet the XS (0-2) puffer would have gone over both blazer and trench without a problem.

Hi KL - I just bought a LE puffer and found I had to size down. I'm a size 10-12 and ended up keeping the Petite Medium which still gave me some room to layer with a blazer underneath. I suspect your Mom would fit the Petite Small. It might be helpful though to order both sizes and see what she's comfortable with. Returns with LE are very easy and economical so you can return the one that doesn't fit.

I haven't been following the puffer discussions, but would now like to buy a coat for my mom. She is petite, 5'1" with short arms and rectangularly apple-shaped. She normally wears a 6-8 or PM at Macy's and such. However, she does like to layer thick sweaters (never jackets/blazers) under her coats. Should I order the Petite Small or the Petite Medium for her?
