AG, I really appreciated your comment yesterday. It made me realize that I needed to rely on my own feeling about how the pants looked and felt. It was very enlightening and helpful. Thanks.

Thanks everyone.

Shannon, yes, this is the J Jill silk shirt. I would love to say I did a great job of choosing a color to create the moody vibe but it was ironed. :)

Anne, I think they will work rolled for summer but we won't have anything warm enough for that look for at least 2 months, and possibly 3.

Angie, thanks for the suggestions. I have a loose striped t in coral and navy that I considered for today so will give that a try and my purple leather jacket should work too.

Rae, I ordered the yellow. I almost ordered a soft yellow to do tonal but decided that was pushing my yellow boundary a bit too much so went with a soft mid-range pastel blue for contrast.

These look SUPER this way. The column of colour (or tone) is just brilliant, and it's altogether a lovely look on you - fab colours for you, by the way. Definitely keep these and yes, they may very well adjust to weight loss, and if not, no great problem since I'm sure the price is quite reasonable. Yay!

I didn't see the first thread, but these pants look great. I love the color and drape of the top you've chosen too. Your plan for how these will fit after weight loss makes sense to me too. They could be quite versatile in that regard since not all clothes can transition to different weights and body shapes.

I missed the first try, but this one looks great! I like the amount of bagginess and that particular blouse and belt look great. You look so feminine in this non-feminine outfit - fabulous!

I loved these from the start! And suggested another photo because the light was naughty in the first set of pics and a black belt would make a big difference.

Denim shirt, leather jacket, drapey tee, turtle neck, blazer - you name it! Looking fab, sister!

I think they look brilliant styled with that gorgeous blouse! I do see the slouch and loose fit and I like how it is echoed by the draping of the top of the top. You look beautiful!

Oh YES!!! I like this styling a lot Dianthus - in fact with this shirt (is this the J Jill shirt? I have to dig mine out again), the outfit has a moody vibe to it which I'm totally digging. I like the fit of the pants and think these will work well for you.

And are you sure we only have 6' of snow? It feels like more - lol!

I like these a lot better they way you have styled them -- I think the darker belt works well, and I love the tones with that shirt. I think you will find they will comfortably adapt as you lose the weight you are planning and get slouchier.

I considered not posting the second try with these pants but a few people wanted to see more pics as the search for a looser fitting slouchy look is much sought after.

In keeping with the big thread the other day, this isn't a K/R question because I kind of like the pants but I would appreciate comments and suggestions on styling and also opinions on whether they are close to the slouchy trend. I am okay with both the positive and negative (truly).

Even though they aren't as loose at the top as they need to be for the slouchy look, now that I am starting to feel better, I do plan to get back into a regular fitness routine and drop at least 10 of the 15 extra pounds which will make them looser and possibly too loose since most of it will come off the hip/thigh area.

So, here goes. I really love this place or I wouldn't have the confidence to give it another shot.

P.S. I can't style like the store since there is about 6' of snow and it is -4C.
