I just got an email that I was outbid and my immediate reaction was Buy It Now, no hesitation, no deliberation. Isn't the thinking that we should buy that which we are prepared to pay full price on, and not just something that is only good if it's seen as simply a value? I figure the fact I'm willing and able to pay double in a split second means I *really* want it and I hope it's all I dream it could be lol.
Will post pics when it arrives. Hopefully I found my first real LBD!

Mo, I don't own anything by Vivienne Tam, but in my experience jersey knits that run S/M/L give you a decent amount of flexibility. My guess is that you would be fine with either a XS or an S.

Polly, I"m slowly learning. I think this could be the one. I could also see it 'funked up' a little with boots, maybe a moto style jacket and chunky jewelry to go see music or such. See, I'm thinking of the *where* I'd wear it and *how*! hee hee. I just wish sizing charts were available

It looks very you! I think you could do both the things you suggest. Don't know anything about sizing.

Ps clever you to hold out for the right type of thing...

I'm always just keeping an eye out for that LBD that I've never had and may have stumbled across a possibility. Most seem too conservative/business-like or the others are embellished or too fussy to be the 'versatile' dress an LBD is supposed to be. This feels like it hits the right note for me. Of course, I have to put mine in a dressy casual context, so no satin, or chiffon, or other cocktail materials. That would put it in the fantasy closet and we don't need any more dresses there!! This is a jersey knit with slight ruching.
My question is whether a size small is going to fit 34.5 / 26.5 / 36.5 me?
And knowing me, do you think this would be appropriate for my life? Could it be funeral appropriate with a muted color jacket on top and then dressed up with sparkly heels for a dinner date or theatre, etc?
