Thanks too TG and preppypear.

Thanks Shevia!
Zaeobi - just occurred to me that you are in the same time zone as me! Yay!
I'll check out the scarf link. The scarf is a circular style, so not sure if all the options work - I think it mostly just look overwhelming because of the camera angle, as you posited.
Yes! re Deep body versus wide - that' s exactly what I meant!! I can also relate to the difficulty of wanting to highlight a waist while hiding a buttom half. (though my other difficulty is that without the hip to compare it too I don't really have a waist as my bust is small (at thinnest, only 6 inches bigger than my waist - any bigger and it can be even less)

Thanks Bijou - yes to the changing clothes throughout the day - one advantage of working at home is that I've changed quite large components of my wardrobe at times over the course of the day.

Honestly I’d cuff ‘em even more, show some ankle! Two more inches? I just love a deep cuff, edgy, trendy, fun. Try it!

Anne, its so lovely to see you post. I like this sweater on you, it is pretty and the jeans look cool with the big cuff. The oversized cardigan looks great on you too. It is big, but that is the style of these waterfall cardigans. On me, I always feel a bit lost in them, so when my last waterfall cardi got holes, I didn't replace it as I prefer a more streamlined silhouette and never really knew what to do with those waterfall layers.
That is interesting about the round vs elliptical body shape, which I had never heard of. I am more elliptical and so it was interesting to understand why horizontal stripes are unflattering on me and some of my favourite clothes have vertical details.
This weather is just tricky to dress for. I start off with a big sweater or coat in the morning and by noon, I am in short sleeves or a light blouse and then by evening, the layers come back on.

YLF! I agree that showing off your ankles could make the cuff look more modern but it's nice as it is too. I like the colours of your top & sleeveless cardigan too.

In regards to the scarf, have you thought about tying it differently? It's a nice colour & material but I think it may be overwhelming you a little (though that could just be the camera angle). A knotted style could help temper the volume a little, if you're interested: https://www.instyle.com/how-to.....scarf-gifs?

I know what you mean about round VS elliptical - I may veer into more of an hourglass shape from the front, but from the side I'm all pear. Makes it difficult to highlight the waist when I also have to consider camouflaging my lower half! PS - More 'deep' (front to back) than 'wide' (side to side) is another way in which I've heard it described.

Thanks Lisa and Taylor
Slimcat - we have quite big variations in temperature here so I've been wearing that scarf a lot - it has the great benefit of not needing ironing. But by the warmest part of the day it is time to discard.Which is fine - that's what layers are about.

Angie - thanks for the feedback. I should have been more explicit with the side view ( I typed in on my phone ) I didn't mean at all that I was fat or not fit. Just that my body goes back a long way! I could lose 10kg and it wouldn't change much as it is just a body frame thing (I did think it was my bottom but it's mostly not). It was actually in response to something LisaP said about looking different from the side - just that I empathise. I start to feel dishonest just posting front pics.

Synne - thanks so much for the suggestion about cuffing - I was wondering that exact thing as I did it. I'll take your suggestion on board next time. Not sure I'll go with the shoelace knotting ideas because I'm impatient but I appreciate you mentioning it!

Yay to cuffed jeans! I have two minor suggestions, if you don't mind. I'd make the cuff even deeper, and expose slightly more ankle. Very modern, IMO! Another tip I've recently picked up, thats a little detail that makes sneakers more "chic", is to tie a hidden knot. There's supposedly endless variations on how to tie ones shoe laces, according to youtube! I guess I've had too much spare time lately

Nice wide cuffs - works well with metallic shoes and long cardi.
The scarf is pretty but probably too big for mild weather, love the colors.
I like v-neck sweater on you - it's very flattering. Fun necklace.

So I told Angie I would try bigger cuffs next time I wore these jeans so here they are.
Worn to take DD and two friends to buy bubble tea and back to our house for a play. First time she's had friends over for a good while (as Bijou mentioned in her post, restrictions are easing quite a bit for us)
Anyway the big cardi was a hand-me-down I have been wearing quite a lot on cold mornings and haven't shown you guys yet. I lost my long grey cardi so that was timed well!

I warmed up in the afternoon and the cardi came off and after we took the first pictures realised the neckline was a bit low for my taste to be unfilled. So tried the scarf in #4 but was too hot. DD approved of the necklace in #5.

#2 to show my deep body. I am round not elliptical. Same as connie booth who played Polly in faulty towers! [ETA maybe]

Any criticism and comments welcome.

ETA Does the cardi overwhelm me? - I suspect it does. Fine for around the house but I'm thinking about not wearing this one out

Also, here is a link to imogen's post about round or ellipital. She's mostly talking about tummies and bottom width however I more meant ribcage and pelvis depth.
