I do not have a white buttondown at the moment (actually I have 2, neither of which fit). I keep meaning to buy a new one, but it's one of those things that I don't enjoy shopping for so I keep putting it off. I only ever wear buttondowns as layering pieces, so I think I'll just get a cheap sleeveless one (which Old Navy happens to have right now).

April, I was wondering about necklaces in general. I wasn't sure if they would compete with the lacing or not.

As for the bow, I will try doing it upside down...if I'm understanding it correctly. It amazes me that in all of internetland, there are no good instructions on this subject. There are pages upon pages on how to tie a bow tie, and how to tie many intricate and elaborate decorative bows to put on gift boxes. But tying a simple, neat bow is somehow just not relevant. I just can't seem to get it to be symmetrical. On top of that, I have to do it while I'm wearing it. I can't lace it up properly unless I have it on my body, otherwise it ends up being too loose or tight or inconsistent. Hmm, well you ladies have convinced me that it is worth the fight though!

I love Angie's suggestion of how to wear the sweater. How cute would that be for fall?

My mom always tied bows by making rabbit ears first (i.e. starting with two loops) ... it does make a prettier bow. April, what is your bow trick?

Maya, this is wonderful on you, no doubt a keeper. Forgive me for wondering if the lovely coral color might go beautifully with your deep red-and-white-pearl necklace?

Bows are notoriously difficult. It this makes any sense at all, try tying the bow upside down from the way you actually want it to go. If that sounds about as simple as making an origami crane, let me know and I'll try to give step-by-step instructions. I do some paper crafting and learned this trick about bows -- which EVERYONE has trouble with.

It's so gorgeous and so flattering! You can use it with neutral pants or skirt (beije, brown, denin, white) and a neutral round colar shirt (beije, white).

My dear Maya, why are you unsure? It’s beautiful quality, a unique colour, an interesting style and fits like a glove. What’s not to love? For starters, I’d like to see it over a white button down with skirt and boots – your brown tweed skirt perhaps?

Thanks everyone. Taylor, it is not an orphan, just not something I was sure about. I kept forgetting to take pictures of it until my most recent closet sweep. I actually really love it in terms of color (which is almost more of a coral than the rosey pink it is in the picture), material, and style. It's very unique, sweet, and cozy. I just didn't know if this kind of closure was flattering on a fuller bust. But, if everyone gives it the thumbs up, then I can't disagree. Of course, I'm always interested to hear Angie's take!

Bella, I hadn't thought about swapping out the laces. I don't mind the material at all, but it could be kind of fun to have a variety to work with. Maybe some kind of ribbon for more festive occasions, though that might look a bit cheesy. Worth a shot though.

It's really quite a luxury for me. I could never afford cashmere on my own dime! So Laura has a special place in my heart, hehe.

Well I like it, and seems if everyone else does also...but is it a closet orphan? If you have had it a long time and don't wear it , perhaps it just isn't really you.

I have a couple things like that as well. I loved when I brought them home and now...I am just not sure what it is..fit, color, shape..all of the above, but just hate to part with.

Otherwise it looks great ,so I say keep, if you think you will wear:)

Keep! It looks like a nice fit, not pulling or baggy, the color is gorgeous, and the style is an interesting variation of the traditional cardi.

That sweater looks super cozy. If you are not particularly happy with the laces, how about replacing them with something more of your style like leather straps or lace? It should be pretty inexpensive.

I love that color on you and the sweater looks so soft and cute.
I cannot tell if it is too big for you with your arm up like that with the camera. Do you think it is too big in the shoulders?
The laces are so cute.

I got this sweater many moons go from lovely Laura at the YLF convention. I haven't really worn it because I'm just not sure if it's flattering or not. The color is gorgeous and it's sooo soft and luxurious, but I just can't determine if this laceup thing is the best thing for busty me.

It's a bit sloppy since I haven't re-laced it yet, but you get the general idea.

http://img.photobucket.com/alb.....G_1856.jpg

Should I try lacing it differently? Tying it differently (I do not know how to tie a nice bow to save my life)? Or is it fine as is (with a little tidying up?)
