You could try mixing baking powder in a small amount of shampoo to form a paste and then massage it into the stain.

This is how we are trying to lift temporary hair dye from my daughter's hair.

ETA apparently crushed vitamin C tablets mixed with shampoo can be effective too.

I would not wash until the stain is gone, just continue soaking.

So far the blotches are still visible. I'll try one more cold wash cycle with Oxyclean.

So sorry. I hope the Oxyclean works. Any heat will help set the stain, so keep water cold

I hate when this happens. Hopefully you didn’t put it in the dryer. I washed a load of white towels after a load of red rag rugs. I never thought it would be a problem. A very tiny piece of fabric from the rugs was in the washer with the towels and turned them very pale pink. I didn’t notice until they came out of the dryer, and it was too late. I rewashed them several times with bleach but the color remained. I ended up donating the towels to the thrift store. I hope one of the suggestions above works for you.

I’d try SHOUT with cold water too. Many careful applications.

I have had good luck with hydrogen peroxide. It took an ink stain out of a cream sweatshirt without changing the color. Patience does seem to be key with these things.
Good luck!

I inadvertently tossed a new cream sweater into a cold-water delicate wash cycle without removing its retail tag. Which was made of black cardboard.

The area near the tag now has big black dye blotches on it. Any thoughts on how to remove?
