You can create your own denim ‘skort’ with a denim skirt and a pair of jockey skimmers (or similar) underneath. It’s become my go-to weekend bottoms and works fine dressed up for work. </p> <p>Some skorts end mid-thigh rather than just above the knee. Regarding the shops available here, there are mostly German brands that you have probably never heard of, like Comma, SOliver and Hallhuber. There is Zara and H&amp;M of course. Zalando is selling lots of brands including Gap, Banana Republic, J. Crew , Free People and many UK brands like Top Shop, Whistles, Karen Millen, Reiss, Hobbs etc but not the whole assortment, mostly a few random items from collections.&nbsp;<br />Dianna - thank you for you feedback, much appreciated.<br />Toban - that is good idea, to have more interesting footwear. I am also looking for simple jersey sleeveless dresses but no luck so far. I don't think that skorts are popular here, never seen anyone wearing one and don't think I ever seen them in shops either. In both formulas colorful sandals are my “third” piece and create the interest I need. I have a variety of colors and heel heights in sandals, including bronze, blue, navy, pink, orange, camel, and teal. Casual culottes could also work well.&nbsp;</p> <p>Now let's analyze what you don't like about the tops. I admit, this is a tricky area. I find summer tops difficult to buy. You want them to have some interest, but often "interest" translates into the trend of the moment, which isn't always the best. And fit problems (with low cut underarms on sleeveless tops) abound. </p> <p>I suspect some of these are not structured feeling enough for you. You don't want "loosey-goosey." Try a more tailored shirt perhaps, rolling the sleeves etc. I know that will be too hot for many days and you need short sleeved and sleeveless. The shell in #2 could actually work with the right bottoms (and a topper for AC or breezy nights) and/or with a summer skirt or culottes. And shorts in 4 is kind of chiffony fabric and too dressy for this situations. And it has this paper bag waist and probably require tucking in so not many tops will work with it. </p>
