But I do find that a shoe with that much coverage is more than I want for most of our summer (last year I didn't wear my black ones for July and aug, chose more open styles instead), so couldn't justify the expense for what would amount to a pretty small window. Basically, June. But the freebirds, well. I coukdnt find such an excuse not to get them :). </p> <p>Tks firecracker ... I've noticed that the various black ones I've seen posted online have looked vastly different from each other. It was one of my hesitations about that colour, as I was ordering blind online... Some looked nice, others not so much. Would you say that yours are almost greyer in tone than mine? I always thought yours looked a bit greyish it wasnt until xtabay posted hers that I thought " hmm, maybe the taupe could work for me". I then figured what I was seeing in yours was just the way they photographed in your lighting, but maybe they are actually different. </p> <p> Have to say, I'm very happy with mine, for me.
