I'm looking forward to getting some time to catch up around here. Life has been very hectic these past few weeks. But I just had my gallbladder removed yesterday, so recovering from surgery is going to provide me with some forced downtime...and some time to get caught up around here! (making lemonade, right?)</p> <p>It's been a while since I've posted a week of WIWs, so here goes. I think my WIWs got progressively better as the week went by. </p> <p>Monday: I really disliked this outfit. I can look at it objectively and see that it's not terrible, but it just isn't right *for me*. It was too busy, too much going on. The jacket and shoes are statements in and of themselves, so I should have left off the dotted blouse and worn a simpler top under the jacket.<br /> Tuesday: a suit day, conservative by necessity, but I did like the way the graphic print top worked with my indigo suit and red shoes.<br /> Wednesday: another suit day. Kind of blah.<br /> Thursday: my cobalt pants came out to play with one of my new jackets from NAS. I really love this jacket and look forward to playing around with it.<br /> Friday: I felt like I redeemed Monday's outfit with this one. I felt great all day long. Before YLF, it would never have occurred to me not to wear the belt a dress came with. I don't know why, but I just never thought about it! Here, I swapped out the light brown belt the dress came with for a grey belt and busted out my new grey Born boots (another NAS find). Yay! All's well that ends well! </p>
