If they were shortened or worn with different shoes they might be closer to the vibe of the jcrew pants, which were slouchy perfection. But after my success with the thrifted j. crew pants, I decided to see if the same shirt and untucked formula would work with these pants. Also, a few people suggested grey instead of black. </p> <p>So here they are, sitting lower on my waist, with some ankle slouch, and the same half-tucked shirt. I'm thinking this "messy British schoolboy" formula is the way for me to wear slouchy pants. If it works, I can come up with variations!</p> <p>Shoes aside (and undone hair and face!), does this look any better? I kind of like it, but I've been inspired by Shannon to not give up! </p>
