I just logged out of my user on my Mac and logged in as a guest user, and everything works fine. Something weird is going on on my end. I'm passing the problem to my personal technician, so it's off your plate, Greg. :)
Updated to 6.0.3... and it does the same thing! Sorry for the puzzle I've put upon you. It's possible the issue could be isolated to my computer... I'll see if my technician hubby can take a look at my computer and see if it's acting funny.

Hi Greg,

It stops spinning. It weird - it looks like it tries to scroll down, but instead just jumps back up.

Yes, I can see the address at the bottom of the Safari page and yes, it does have that sequence.

I can take a quick video of it and send it to you if you're curious!

That is so strange. I am using Safari 6.0.3 and it works fine there. Also on Angie's Mac, which is using Safari 5.1.8.

I have a couple of questions. First, on your Mac, does the spinning loading indicator stop when you load a page, or does it continue spinning indefinitely?

And second, when you're on the "Latest" page and you hover over the link, can you see the address at the bottom of the Safari page? If so, is there a "#post-XXXXXX" at the end of the link (where the X's are replaced with digits).

Hi Greg,

It doesn't work for me at all. I just tried it on my iPhone and it does work properly, but on my laptop it doesn't scroll to the bottom.

I am using Safari version 6.0.2. on OS X.

Louise, I will be deploying some changes later in the week and one of them is to bring back this direct link to the comment form. :-)

BTW, no matter how small the issue, please feel free to open new threads. That actually makes it easier for me to keep track of individual issues. I tend to lose them if they are buried in another thread.

Slightly off the specific thread but on blog posts I used to click comment and be taken straight to the bottom but now I have to scroll all through the comment to get to the bottom x

Hi Marianna,

You're right, it should do that. It seems to work for me, but perhaps it is broken in some specific places. Can you point me to an example where it isn't working for you?

Greg

Hi Greg,

I might be missing something, but if I recall correctly, in the past you were able to click on the name of the last person who commented in a thread, and that would link you to the bottom of the thread, to see the last comment. Now when I click on "7 minutes ago by so and so" it goes to the top of the post. Am I clicking the wrong thing?

Thank you!
