In this photo, the blue and black combo looks really good with your coloring. The medium blue is softer than black and lights up your face, but you can also handle the black accents near your face because of your dark hair color. You don't have to "show" all in photos, but if you have been experimenting, what are you seeing when you try tops with different cuts and lengths , different skirt lengths, flats vs. pumps vs boots, skirt over top of boot vs showing knee, showing knee bare leg vs with tights or tonal stockings--that sort of thing. Then, does anything pop out at you as , oh, that's really more how I want to look?</p> <p>I spent hours trying on things I had and finally came up with a few unifying ideas of what worked and what didn't. "More this and less that" sort of thing, to keep from being paralyzed by perfection. Tried to put that into style-words and keep the mental picture in mind (or refer to your phone) when shopping. Still, it's very hard and I feel like just a dweeb compared to people with so much more savvy.
