It's more of a brick red tending toward maroon rather than the true red I was thinking from the pictures, and the patch pockets make it look more casual than I wanted. The fabric is really nice and the construction excellent, however. Sad, because I love the idea of being able to get them hemmed to whatever length you want. In Canada the returns process is not quite as smooth - if you don't like them and don't want to exchange, a return shipping fee ($7.95?) is deducted. My DDs liked a lot of stuff in the last catalog they sent, and I ended up getting one DD a nice blazer and the other DD a parka and some turtlenecks.They also had some merino wool button-up vests (like cardigans, but sleeveless) that my DDs loved, but I wasn't willing to spend that kind of $ on them this month.</p> <p>I went by the size chart and ordered according to bust measurements and according to what the catalog said about fit. The turtlenecks I ordered, for example, fit close to the body. LE sells other turtlenecks that have a classic or relaxed fit, so it's important to read all the info. you can before ordering. I didn't know they disclose exact garment measurements. They have upped their style quite a bit. I find great deals on the LE sale pages when they run extra % off. It’s got me seriously considering them again. The Lands’ End catalog was a staple in our house when I was growing up. </p> <p>I used to buy from them a lot when I was in college and didn’t live too far away from their headquarters. Then I moved and my style went younger, and they got bought by Sears.
