Interesting look. I had almost forgotten that style. Now I remember that I bought a similar pair in 1992. In my neck of the woods, I have hardly seen this style since the 90s. But perhaps it is back now, even here. I will be on the lookout and if possible give it a new try.

I've been looking at laceless oxfords all year, really like the look. Slightly higher vamp than a loafer. I haven't found a pair that fit quite right yet. That black reads almost navy on my monitor -- in any case, really nice!

Thanks for the review! I've noticed those online and thought they were cute, too. Actually a few laceless oxfords have caught my eye this season. I know the trend started a few seasons ago, but they are still going strong, it seems, and I'm noticing more that appeal to me. (I am drawn to similar qualities you mention--not too clunky, lower heel).

I agree - I like the cleaner lines of no laces oxfords. These are a nice colour

I agree, laceless oxfords are cool. I have a pair that I love so much, they've been put in 'save mode.'

Unfrumped, I have one pair of laceless oxfords in black patent. I prefer them so much more over the ones with laces. I like the ones you have posted here. I would like them in a very light gray.

I love loafers AND oxford but have somehow developed a sugar- eye for laceless oxfords, for certain outfits. They are a little harder to find, and also, I like them not TOO chunky. I use them with skirts and with ankle pants and as a kind of “ shootie” with full length pants when I want a lighter look than a boot, but still mostly cover the shoe and not get hung up on laces or vamp.
I am trying these from Naughty Monkey. I like the color and also wanted this lower heel. I agonized over the size- I am basically in a size 9 now most of the time but these run a tad smaller, or maybe slightly flat in the toe-box, so was not sure they’d be comfy. I tried the 9.5 and at first thought that’s better, with inserts, but it took the shoe to that slightly clown look and loose heel fit.
Since they are flexible leather- not butter- soft, but quite giving-I’ve kept the 9 and wearing first with sheer knee- highs and breaking in, and also will wear with opaque tights soon.
The gray color ( not sure why it’s called “ black”!) is almost an exact match for my gray tights, which go with a lot of fall- winter outfits.
Alert: the colors are not consistent; the 9.5 was significantly lighter. Still a good color and maybe even better for summer, but I preferred the darker to target them for frequent wear for next 6 months. It may be one of those things where you could order several in one size to assess!
