Wow). First impressions are that it’s perfect. I didn’t notice any of the puckering mentioned above, fortunately. It does need some pressing/steaming. It’s weight is more likely an spring/fall outerwear piece for me. I run too warm for it to be an inside topper. Very soft, as the reviews indicate. Color is stunning. </p> <p>In theory it will mix very well in my wardrobe. Happened to me too, but only in plum color. The zipper laid flat in the other colors. </p> <p>I shopped early and was able to try on several jackets in same size/color. Not all plum jackets had zipper issue and I was able to find one that laid flat. </p> <p>Which color did you try? The suede feels great, and it looks pretty on the rack. But see in the image how the zipper is pulling and twisting a bit, even though it is kind of disguised, while zipped up on a body, not on a hanger? Yeah, that was a big problem. The panel of fabric under the jacket doesn’t want to lie flat. It looks pretty worn open, but kind of sloppy zipped up. It really cheapened the look. It’s interesting that the catalogue photo is on a model much smaller and straighter than me but has the same fit issue. </p> <p>I am very short waisted so I had the additional problem (with this, and with the few other jackets available in my size at the store) that it bagged awkwardly at the small of the back. I need more of a peplum cut. I left it at the store. </p> <p>(Sejour, Nordstrom in-house plus size brand, tended to have great cuts for real leather jackets that solved this fit problem, but it appears the brand has been discontinued.
