This is why I ordered them in 2 sizes...! We'll see if either of them work or if I have the same questions as you, Tara.

I do not put any denim in the dryer, ever. It causes way too many problems for me. I think wearing the tight jeans around the house for a few hours will help you pick the correct size. I have a couple pairs of jeans that require the "jump, jump, jump" action to get them on, then a few hours later, are just fine in fit.

Good question--I was wondering this myself when I ordered a couple of pairs yesterday. I'm assuming that no one puts their denim in the tumble dryer, right? All of my denim seems to shrink back to the original size (or smaller) so I'm hesitant to size down too much.

I don't have the Kut skinnies, but I am wearing a pair of Kut 5-pocket jeans right now, and I can say that they stretched quite a lot during their first wearing, definitely enough to justify starting with a smaller size.

My experience is that they stretch after a few hours and then they stop ... they don't keep going, like a lot of jeans.

Where are the 6's tight? Waist? Thighs? Butt? All of the above?

Tara, I am with you on this! Sized down on SA suggestion but they feel too tight. I have not worn them for couple of hours though... Should try that.
BTW I have bought white capri by Kut in my regular size and they did become bigger...hmm, this is so complicated!

Wear the 6's for a few hours and see how they are fitting then. I bought a pair of Kuts last winter and my experience has been that after the initial couple hours of stretch they don't bag out much after that.
Are the 8's snug at all? If not you will probably find them too baggy by the end of the day.

I ordered both my usual size and a size down, and I'm really stumped as to fit.

The size down (6) are tiiiggght ... but if they stretch they might be okay.

My usual size (8) are fine as is ... but if they stretch might look a little saggy.

In my experience, non-premium denim does stretch out, especially around my thighs, (which are already big enough, thank you very much.) My DKNYs always seem to bag out after a few wearings. Still, I've never ordered down a size. Maybe that's the way to go?

Aargh! How on earth are you supposed to know?
