My favorite No gap, no altering and I have a very defined waist. But the Loft seems to have change their sizing because my next pair (I wanted the darker wash) had a gap. My husband ran in to Walmart to pick up a pair of jeans for me to wear last week and off the rack the curvy Levi bootcut jeans in a size 6 regular fit right all the way around with no gap! I'd probably get a long to wear with heels, but they were great for the small wedge sandals I have right now. If it fits in the butt area, it gaps in the waist. As for shorts with draw strings, if I tighten the draw string, I have horrible bumps and folds on the rest of the shorts in all the wrong places.</p> <p>I know a lot of people will cringe when I say this, but I love the Levis perfect waist jeans and also the bold curve style. I bought 3 pairs in different boot cut styles and hope to find a straight pair soon also. I will say though, I think they shrunk a little short to actually wear with boots/heals, but they work with flats for the summer! I may try ordering some in long length online. I measure them myself (pinch the extra fabric and measure between the points where the fabric touches) and then drop them off at my cleaners. You'll pull your hair out looking for jeans that don't gape, put I think you'll find that the altertion is quite easy and painless.
