I bought a great pair curvy jeans (faded) from the Loft last year. My favorite No gap, no altering and I have a very defined waist. But the Loft seems to have change their sizing because my next pair (I wanted the darker wash) had a gap. Joe's Honey worked okay, but still a little bit of a gap.

I'm going to second the Levis suggestion. My husband ran in to Walmart to pick up a pair of jeans for me to wear last week and off the rack the curvy Levi bootcut jeans in a size 6 regular fit right all the way around with no gap! I'd probably get a long to wear with heels, but they were great for the small wedge sandals I have right now. It was weird too because I spend hours trying on jeans and never find any that fit just right off the shelf.

I have a horrible problem with the gapping at the waist problem with pretty much everything! If it fits in the butt area, it gaps in the waist. As for shorts with draw strings, if I tighten the draw string, I have horrible bumps and folds on the rest of the shorts in all the wrong places.

I know a lot of people will cringe when I say this, but I love the Levis perfect waist jeans and also the bold curve style. I bought 3 pairs in different boot cut styles and hope to find a straight pair soon also. I will say though, I think they shrunk a little short to actually wear with boots/heals, but they work with flats for the summer! I may try ordering some in long length online. Once they have been washed a few times, they may fit perfectly for boots and heals!

quelinda - have you tried gap real straight jeans? after trying on a couple of different sizes i found a pair that fit great with no gaping at the waist.

eta: i don't consider myself super curvy but i often have the gaping waist issue.

I like 'curvy' cut jeans from Eddie Bauer and LL Bean that don't have the gapping problem - but they're not as 'fashion-forward' as the lines others have mentioned. I used to have good luck with Gap curvy fit, but now that they've changed their fits a bit they don't work as well.

I often have to get waistbands taken in for jeans, skirts, trousers, I figure it into the cost at this point for me. As a petite pear, jeans that I have not had to take in the waist are: Gap Always straight and perfect boot, Joe's petite provocateur, Hudson's petite length, and Lucky Sweet n Low. Any others have required alterations.

The Gap jeggings are about the only ones that don't do this for me. I almost always take to the tailor. Oh, and the Express Editor Trousers are snug too without alterations.

quelinda, I would just take them to the tailor. I measure them myself (pinch the extra fabric and measure between the points where the fabric touches) and then drop them off at my cleaners. You'll pull your hair out looking for jeans that don't gape, put I think you'll find that the altertion is quite easy and painless. (-:

Sorry, I don't have input on KFTK jeans, but I do know what to do with jeans that gap in the back -- take them to the tailor! They can easily be taken in to fit your waist.

I seem to have trouble finding jeans that don't gap in the back on me. Even the Gap jeggings I just bought do this a little. I don't *think* I'm particularly curvy but something must be up. Does anyone else have this problem?

Also, does anyone own any KFTK jeans? I'd like to try their Audrey skinnies in white, and I'm also looking for some darkwahs skinnies & maybe some boyfriend jeans.

Any advice & input is appreciated!
