My Catherines from 2 years ago are a size 6, and I usually wear a 10. They fit me like the model in your find. So I'd say go down at least one size, maybe 2, unless they've changed the fit. They are great jeans for the price. I find that the Catherines run a bit large, so I order one size below my regular one on these. Also -- I am rather high-waisted and this particular style almost works like a "low rise" jean on me... i.e. the waist falls quite a bit below my natural waistline, so there is no waist gap problem. If you are not high waisted, then the fit will be a bit different for you.
