Thank you all for helping me with making my wardrobe cleaner and cleaner!

@Helen: thank you for your nice comments! The dress pants are new and I hope to get them in rotation quite soon. Just have to figure out PPL ;-)

@sarah: I'm petite too, so I'm sensitive to anything that might look shortening. LOL of the track suit comment!

@rae: if I zip it halfway, I look... it looks like I'm sort of tipping over at the top... like muffin top at bust area, does that make sense..? bad explanation, but it doesn't look good. tips appreciated, anyway! :-)

@tracina: sizing up would be great, but this item is about 15 years old!

@cjh: camera is not new, but the photographer is I like the camera a lot, but I struggle with mirror photos (done in a hurry). DS1 was forced to help me and it was soooo boring ;-)
Wellis - have been used A LOT! Very practical in slushy autumn, spring and sometimes winter weather. But I have a pair of black kneehigh Hunter and another black pair (about mid-calf hight), so I wondered if the white ones were stumpifying and should get passed on

I appreciate your enlightening description of the cardi! And the brutal truth!!! The cardi is about 15 years old, sturdy viscose and have been worn again and again and again

@Shannon: the cardi will go and I'm keeping the wellies. the sandals... I'm hesitating. they are about 6-7 years old, I think

@Manidipa: thanks for explaining the not stumpifying effect of the laces and bookending effect I can create with a scarf! so enlightening.
Sandals - these are actually two pairs and I would never think of combining them like in the photos, but I just remembered how I used to wear different socks on purpose as a child

CONSLUSION: keeping wellies and tossing cardi. I'll have to try the sandals again because one of the buckles were difficult. if I can't get them on without hazzle, I'll pass them too. If the buckles are ok, I'll keep them this season and see if I get them in rotation again (if not - toss). BUT if the weather is keeping cold all summer, I'll have to keep them for summer 2013 before a final decision is made.

Check and *happy sigh*!

Thank you all! I'm so grateful for all the help and inspiration I'm getting here!

Don't think the wellies would be stumpifying with dark hose/leggings at all --- the laces should carry the dark line down and through to the foot! And you can always bookend with a lighter scarf on top or a bag, maybe a peek of pale shirt or cami.

LOVE the sandals. Can't decide which is better! Delighted by the eccentric effect of different on either foot --- I once saw a lady at the airport who was wearing Puma slippers that were white and black on one foot, hot pink and black on the other. Delightful! My SO also has a fair of Puma fashion sneakers that have a slightly different detailing on each foot. I really enjoy asymmetry of this sort in things we typically consider as inseparable twins.

The cardi works to my eye best when unzipped. Because the pattern is pulling out of true from the slight snugness when done up. Is it useful as a throw-on bit of pattern, as opposed to extra warmth? If yes, heep; if no, pass on.

Keep the wellies and the sandals. I vote pass on the cardigan. Just a little too snug.

You have to keep those Wellies - they're fab! I'm on the fence about the sandals. I think it's time to say bye to the cardigan.

Harmonica, thanks for the great photos. You must have a new camera!

The Wellies are cute and can be one of those practical items that get a lot of use in iffy weather.

The sandals look dated to me but mostly because of the shape of the heels, nd a bit worn and droopy looking.

And the cardigan may have seen its better days. Is it cotton? For some reason the color seems faded to me, maybe the better lighting is washing out the black? And the shape is tighter and neither as soft and "arty" as I would like to see with the brown linen skirt, as colorful and kicky as would work well with the denim dress, or as sophisticated and classy as you could use with those lovely slacks. Sorry to be borderline brutal, but you can do a lot better, and possibly already own great toppers to substitute with all these basics.

I like the wellies and I think you can wear them with skinnes and tights easily. I like the sandals, too!

The sweater I prefer with black, so my vote is open with the trousers. But I think a black pencil or black sheath would be cute too.

I like both of the shoes, but the sweater looks a little tight - maybe the stripe is creating this illusion? Can you try it zipped up only halfway?

I love those wellies! I think they are super fun.

I think the sandals are lovely on their own, but I'd pass on them, only because the ankle strap seems to hit you fairly high and in a dark color that can be leg-shortening. BUT, bear in mind that I am very short and very "short-ankled" and am pretty sensitive about leg-shortening shoes.

The cardi reminds me a bit of a tracksuit. It seems a bit short and tight. Just my opinion, though. If you love it, you can ignore me!

Harmonica, I don't see a thing wrong with any of these! I looked through the pics twice, and couldn't decide on one Toss. I'd keep them all - very functional and fun! The cardi is fitted, but looks perfect on you. A great piece! The dress pants will see lots of wear, I'm sure!

Another round of keep or toss! Now's the time for brutal honesty... ;-)

I havn't styled any of these items, just made some quick sort of visual drafts (feeling very "appleish")

#1-2: Ilse Jacobsen wellingtons - By coincidence, I think they might work with these jeans and maybe grey hose, but do you think they will be stumpifying when worn with dark skinnies or hose? K/T?

#3-7: Camper sandals x2, orange and green. Dated? Stumpifying because of the strap? Is one better than the other?

#8-24 Black cardigan with beige stripes. Too small? Bulging me up? See upper part of arm, back and mid area of body. Too.... *something*?
8-9 ...with black pencil, closed
10-12 ...with brown skirt, open
13-15 ......with denim dress, closed
16-18...with denim dress, open
19-21...with dressy trousers, closed
22-24 ...with dressy trousers, open

Thanks for looking and all frank comments you may have!
