I didn't talk to the manufacturer - I love the brand, and I but a lot from them, but this was a suede that I just figured transferred more color. I just figured I would wear it with dark colors. But it sounds like more of an issue for you so I would totally talk to the manufacturer.

Ditto to no bleach! It can "burn" fabric and cause a yellow stain.

Thanks K. I’ll work those in too. So many options! I’m feeling more optimistic.

Thanks, everyone! Oxyclean seems to be the clear favorite here, so I’ll look for that first. I’m reluctant to use bleach because the dress is such nice, soft cotton. If the Oxy doesn’t work I’ll try Joyce’s suggestion of vinegar (white, right?) and a from a dye company. Next step will be the dry cleaner, and after that I’ll give in to bleach.

Roxanne, did you talk to the manufacturer of the bag? This one cost as much as all my others together, so I’m not pleased, to put it mildly. I’m wondering if they have corrected the problem and might give me replacement straps. I don’t have the sales receipt, but could get it.

How awful! I would actually take it to the dry cleaner like Roxanna suggested. They often have tricks for removing stains that I don't think of. You might also try rubbing alcohol and dry cleaning solvent, if you have either of those around.

Oh no! The same thing happened to me with a Burgundy suede backpack and a cream silk top I took it to the dry cleaners right away and they were able to take it out. But not I just carry the bag with dark colors!

Oh, what a shame. Depending on the cleaning requirements of the dress, I'd try oxyclean and then bleach.

Rit or Carbona may have stain remover products. You need to take care of it soon before it gets more set in, what a bad thing to happen to your beautiful dress. Whatever you do, do not put the dress in the dryer or the stain will be permanent.
Vinegar removes excess dye but I would check in a very small area first to be sure it does not set the stain.

Oh darn, such a pretty dress too!! Hopefully the pre-treat will help ... I hate to suggest bleach but if you're down to the wire, maybe? Or a good drycleaner? Hope it comes good ...

I rarely carry this bag, was probably wearing a winter coat the last time I did. But I pulled it out recently on a yummy summer day. Look what it did to my white dress! I’m upset, to say the least.

It was purchased last fall. Is there any way I could ask KSpade for help? There is no dye on the back of the dress, only where the straps touch under the arms.

Any laundering tips? I pretreated the dress but haven’t washed it yet.
