#2 and #4 are the keepers, IMO. #6 - meh color scheme. #7 is pretty for work, but you're right on the heel height for running around with kids, and for a high wedge, I like it better than #5, so that can go back. Keep the flowered orange ones for the beach. #9, #10, #12 - gotta go - they look dumpy and worn out to me, but it may just be lighting or camera focus.

Let us know what you decide, since we all have different advice. Good luck!

For MOTG, #2 is a clear standout winner to my eye (in this shade). I also really like #6, but of course if the heel is impractical it won't get worn.

Natalie, the Ecco sandals I have seem like a pretty standard B width, although somebody on Zappos complained about them being narrow.

Thanks everyone for the input! So much great advice! It looks like #5 looks good to everyone and it seems to be the most comfy and pretty to me of the new sandals so that's a definite keep. I think I will probably keep the Seychelles too for now since they're so pretty, but if I end up not using them in the next month then that will be a sign I need to return them to Nordie's. Ecco's are going back since they don't fit.

Rae and Helen, I do agree I should get a pair of flat sandals. The Naturalizers are comfy but I will see if there's anything else that looks better before I decide for sure.

Alicat, I do like those metallic Eccos you posted, and the one that Angie posted. I may have to check those out. Are the Eccos you have wide or narrow? The Eccos I ordered (#4) were too wide for me.

Haha Jjsloane and Christianne, you busted me--I think those Bass flip flops actually ARE from high school. I didn't realize that flip flops could become dated!

Zap, I agree, I would like to get some colored sandals--maybe red, yellow or turquoise. Or metallic like Alicat's. I thought I'd start with neutral first for more versatility but maybe that doesn't matter?

Isis, I do have a pair of Tevas but I only have worn them for kayaking/diving and other water sports. Maybe I should pull them out for MOTG since that could be considered a sport, like you said.

Sveta, I don't know about the toes...how much does it matter? I didn't even pay attention to it until I started reading about sandals here and people were saying they didn't like long exposed toes. It doesn't help that my 2nd toe is longer than my first. I do feel like I don't like really bare sandals--I feel like my feet look prettier enclosed in the Clarks than exposed in the orange flip flops. And the ankle strap and enclosed foot feels more stable for running around than flip flops, even though it has a heel.

Manidipa and Alicat, thanks for pointing out the toe overhang. I didn't even notice. I think my feet have grown since having kids--I used to be a 7, now I'm more often 7.5. These sandals are old and I just checked the size--37. I would typically wear a 38 now. So I guess that explains why they're too small. Wow, I learn so much every day here. It's like PPL--stuff I never would have been aware of before, but now that I know it's glaringly obvious. Well, I will definitely look for some replacement comfort sandals but for now you'll just have to tolerate the long toes or look away, haha!

Diana, Zap, Rita etc. funny that the only sandals that you would keep are the Uggs and orange flip flops--those are the only ones bought post-YLF. Wow I am realizing more and more how much of my old closet is unacceptably dated and/or worn. It's like if you live with it all these years you get used to them and don't realize when things become dated!

Thanks everyone for the instruction--I am learning so much from you all!

Of the new options, I like #5 and #6 the best - I know the Seychelles may not be very practical for MOTG but they are gorgeous. If they are comfy, I'd keep them for work outfits, and get the clarks for MOTG.

Of your old sandals, I don't mind the Uggs and would probably keep those. And you know I am a fan of Danskos, but yours are looking a little beat up. Still, I'm sure they're very comfy so I'd probably keep a pair of those for activities where you don't want to ruin your good shoes with dirty or whatever.

I would keep 3 and 5 for MOTG and work. Of your old sandals, I think the Bass are somewhat dated (I also had in high school but I think they still make them) but both that and the orange would be good for pool use for sure. The orange are pretty fun for a "resort" kind of sandal.
I would keep the Danskos to do my yard stuff in - I like to wear sandals in warm weather and nice to have a pair that you don't care if it gets wet or scuffed more for around the house chores. The other pair is a bit frumpy but they do look comfortable and soft. I would be tempted to keep as a just in case sandal (but I have broken two toes and hunted for a sandal like that to wear during recovery so ever since I have been paranoid - and clutzy).

For MOTG, I like 2, 4, and 5. I prefer the lower heels since you often feel you are too dressy in your MOTG outfits and I think a flatter shoe helps in that regard. Of the ones you already own, I kid of feel that the orange ones are the only pair that match your current style - I have a feeling you evolved beyond the others.

I really like the Clark's (#5). They fit your feet well and look fab.

Although I don't think they are great MOTG in the park shoes. If you're walking through wet grass, in the sandbox, climbing the junglegym, running, skipping with your kids, you need something more supportive, flatter and perhaps waterproof. Perhaps your old sandals could fill that function if you can run in them? Or Teva's. Gear, I know, but playing in the park with kids is a sport!

What are you wearing these with? Work, MOTG or both?

For MOTG, I like the Clarks. The Seychelles could do double duty. I think you can find something prettier for a flat sandal, in a bright, happy color. What about red, yellow or green? You can virtually wear any color with any of the three color choices I mentioned.

I think you also need a dressier sandal for work/evening.

As for the existing ones, I'd keep the orange ones only. I'd toss the rest, if and when you find suitable replacements. They have seen better days, buh byeeee.... You are too fab now

Hey, Natalie,

Wow, I really love those Seychelles! I would keep those for dressier outfits. Even if they aren't MOTG, they're great!

I also like #1 and #5.

Your old Dansko sandals look too short. Actually, most of the old sandals look too short to my eyes, except for the orange flower ones.

How about a metallic sandal for MOTG? I recently got these Ecco ones and they seem to go with all my casual outfits. And I like the black wedge because it doesn't scuff when I'm driving. I wore these all day yesterday with denim capris and they were very comfortable.

#5 looks the best to me of this new lot, in terms of both aesthetics and practicality. #1 comes in second, if a truer flat is needed --- OR you could hold on to your flipflops and orange sandals for that? --- but it is also more glamorous with the metallic detail than the Clarks, so if you're sending the black ones back, you might prefer to keep these instead.

Of the old ones, I think the one I recommend against is #12/13 --- it looks like the footbed is a bit too short for your foot, with a slight toe overhang. Not the best bet for running around (high chance of stubbed toe?), aesthetics apart.

The Uggs Hazels are pretty for other occasions. The Beautifeels are a little sporty, but not enough to fight with jeans or shorts; just maybe too heavy for dresses and skirts. If you were to keep just one of the thong style, I like the orange flower better than the flip-flops, though the colour is less versatile (but hey, since you already have a couple of nudes, a little colour may be just the thing.)

So in summary, I like the Clarks best, the Eccos not so much, on the fence on the Naturalizers, the Seychelles very much but agree you should decline if they don't serve the main purpose; and of the oldies, I like the Hazels and the TJ Maxx, voting down the Danskos (sorry! if you have multiple pairs, they must be super comfy. want to keep one for that reason alone?), think you could also let the Bass go if you're no longer keen.

#1 looks like great flat sandal option when you really need to run around after your kids. As for toes display I think it is very personal - does it bother you? I actually like this nude color for you.
#3 would be too high for me for MOTG but they look very nice.
#6 are dressy enough for work but I agree not very practical for MOTG.
Out of your old sandals I would keep #9 for cases when you need gear sandals (hiking in the park?) and possibly #10 for going to the beach or pool....

I like 2 (Naturalizer) and 5 (Clarks). The sandals in 9-13 look comfy, but not very stylish IMO. #9 looks great for running around the park, but a little gearlike. I had those Bass flip flops in high school so my eye is poisoned. I think you're on the right track as I really like the Eccos but they need to fit your feet.

Here's another round of keep/return/toss for my sandals! I am looking for a good summer MOTG sandal that's a little more stylish than my old comfort sandals. The Seychelles (#6) that I got at Nordstrom HYS are fabulous and Angie said they were killer, but I am worried the heel height is too high to be practical for MOTG. So I'm looking for a wedge with a lower heel and/or a flat sandal. The first 4 pairs (2-6) are all keep or return, and the rest are my current sandals--I'm wondering if any of them need to be purged. Thanks for your help!

1-3. Naturalizer Jailene--This would be good for running around at the park because it's nearly flat. It comes in a darker brown "Banana bread" color, I might see if I like that color better (not sure if it's better to go with nude or brown). Also some people are picky about showing long bony toes, so not sure if this works.
http://vip.zappos.com/naturali.....cTest=fw:1
4. Ecco Maloy--this one is too wide for my foot so it's going back. The heel height is reasonable though. Not as fond of the color.
http://vip.zappos.com/ecco-mal.....cTest=fw:1
5. Clarks Artisan Woodward Willow--it's very similar to my Uggs wedges. But I like this color the best of the three new nude sandals. The heel is still 2.5 inches high, but not as high as my Uggs wedges (#8). Plus it has more support with the ankle straps and more substantial toe straps and the footbed is padded. I really like the shape of this sandal and it's narrower so my foot feels supported by the straps.
http://vip.zappos.com/clarks-w.....cTest=fw:1
6. Seychelles Good Ole Days wedges in black and tan. it's fairly comfy and fits well, but I'm debating whether or not to keep these if the 3.5 inch heels are not that practical for MOTG.
http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/se.....tback=1801
7. Uggs Hazel wedges. I wore these today but they were a little wobbly trying to walk on the uneven playground surfaces and grass.
8. Comparison of heel height of Uggs (dk brown) and Clarks (light brown heel)
9. Beautifeel sandals. These are ancient. These are comfy, but I'm wondering if they are too frumpy-dumpy to wear.
10. Bass flip flops. Also ancient but they've held up well.
11. Orange flower flip flops--these were an impulse buy at TJ Maxx. Wondering if it looks too silly.
12-13. Dansko sandals in dark brown and lighter brown (I have black as well). they are getting scuffed up. Are they too clunky to wear?
14-15. The four new pairs (not keeping all of these!)

What do you think? If the consensus is to keep looking, any possible suggestions/links?
