Dani, I love that dress too. I would've ordered it myself to give it a whirl, but the time I thought about it, it was sold out in my size. (who knows if that size would've fit... but I digress!)

If I owned it, I would have no problem wearing this dress once a week. Ideas:

- pewter wedges and a white bag. Simple for right now.
- Long scarf tied below the drape neck, with coordinating bag
- with black leggings, ballet flats, cheeky jean jacket (white or denim)
- with cardigan - that would keep your arms warm - black, white, red, purple, yellow, teal... anything really.. short sleeve, 3/4 sleeve, long sleeve.
- with tights and heels and a cardi or jean jacket or leather jacket
- with tights and boots

I think you could probably also wear this with a long-sleeve blouse underneath, one without a collar. Something with a straight-across neckline?

I would also try it with a merino wool long-sleeve turtleneck underneath. I think it has potential!

And YES, I would wear sleeveless with boots, though I would very likely add a cardi too. I think this neckline will work just fine with a v-neck cardi.

As for the memorable question, I know exactly what you mean about that. But, I don't think this is *that* memorable. No worries about that part.

Thanks for the ideas, Kristen and Angie. I really love this dress as is (it is gorgeous), but it's more about justifying the cost for a dress that can only be worn during warmer weather. Granted, we have about 4 1/2 to 5 months of warmer weather but I'm just not sure about something that's not that versatile (to me). Would a sleeveless dress look out of place with boots?

Angie, how often do you wear your wardrobe pieces that are distinctive and memorable? I feel that I could only wear this dress once a month or so since it is so unique and memorable. I think that's the problem I'm trying to wrap my head around.

This dress is so beautiful as is. This is how I see it:

o	Dress it down with a denim jacket or biker jacket. Might even work with a waistcoat left open.
o	Add hose and pumps
o	Throw in boots

Would that make your “have to wear this item three different ways” rule, Dani?

Hi Dani,

I haven't really worked on styling the dress yet, but I have all the suggestion still in mind! I'm trying to stick to a shopping ban for a bit and I'm enjoying my closet as it is, but for the sheath I will probably look for:
-a long-sleeves silky collarless blouse I can wear under it
-some woven button-downs (which I need to add anyway)
-colorful cardigans and jackets

I also want to wear it as it is for as long as I can. But our weather has been so strange this summer, I'm getting nervous about planning too far ahead for fall!

How cool that you got it too; so did Kari! I think it's pretty well-suited to our body type and height.

Did you ever figure out how to style it for cooler weather? I think the dress is AMAZING as is, but I'm having a heck of a time putting anything with it that looks appropriate or doesn't detract from the originality of the dress. I'd love to hear what you discovered!!

Thanks!
