I think it is like bookending, but subtled&nbsp;up, if that makes sense. &nbsp;I think a slightly darker version for bookending makes for an easier match because it is subtler. For example,&nbsp;I find camel or caramel shoes are an easier bookend for my blonde hair than a light straw color. I do not own any brown footwear - I buy and return it always. I have one pair of putty booties, and am eyeballing a cognac pair. For that reason I would go with black. I LOVE them with coats, my olive jacket,&nbsp;and my gray Gap jeggings (I live in both those things for winter casual wear), but I am wondering if they are too overpowering for work outfits. I like 'em best with tunic-length tops as in 3 and 5.&nbsp;</p> <p>I am also thinking: with my coloring and wardrobe, is this maybe just too large an expanse of warm brown? Too hard to bookend, making things look unbalanced? Is that another reason why I haven't worn my current brown boots much?&nbsp;Would black would be better?</p> <p> </p>
