A pic of the smaller size both buttoned and unbuttoned would help. </p> <p>I recently bought a WHBM jacket that got YFL approval in the smaller size, but I decided to size up, even though it is too big, because I liked the feel. And versatility for heavy layers. </p> <p>See how much the button plackets overlap on each size when you pull it closed comfortably. That is how I can tell mine is too big, even with a stretch fabric Unstretched i have an extra couple of inches. I find that TopShop doesn't have the most consistent sizing. I just re-ordered one of their leather skirts in an 8US and would have also ordered the 10US had it been in stock. I am normally a 4US. I tend to find with that brand that I need to order in three sizes if available instead of my normal two. </p> <p>That's a gorgeous color btw. This one looks straight or just slightly tapered from under the arms to the hem. Boxy, not tailored. It is nicely made, and I think it will be warm. Does it look too big? The measurement through the bust is the same as another jacket I have (#6), but that one doesn't seem as big. #4 and #5 is with a very thick sweater underneath. I wouldn't wear them together, but it gives you a sense of the size.
