Open or closed, it looks really good on you in the front. With less layers I'm guessing it will lay even more nicely in the back too. I like the buttons and wouldn't change them to a darker color.

I bet it's not snug at the back when the buttons are unfastened, right? Looks smashing open! I vote keep too - which includes the buttons.

This looks great on you Mander! I agree it looks a bit snug in the back (not in front) but I suspect with fewer layers (as you'd mostly be wearing it in warmer weather) it will be perfect in the back as well. This is going to serve you very well. I think it is a very versatile piece.

I also really like this blazer, it looks great on you and seems like an excellent fit. I vote keep. I would not change out the buttons either, they play well with the pocket buckle and don't strike me as an overly floral detail with the cutout design.

Nice find, you'll probably get a lot of wear out of it for professional use and with smart casual outfits!

I think it's a keeper. The creases should ease out as you wear it, and I suspect you will wear it undone more than done up anyway. I wouldn't bother changing the buttons unless you really detest them - they look just fine to me, but I would take off the buckles as Ceit suggests.

I really like this on you! The linen has that gentle structure. I like this waaaay better than the striped one! I like it both opened and closed.

The buttons look fun and unique, but I can see why you might want to change the, out. I would vote low contrast to keep attention on those fantastic princess seams on the jacket.

I like the blazer on you a lot, it looks like good make and I vote keep. The creases are fine for linen and since you say it's been squashed in an envelope for a while, I am impressed it's not worse.
I used to have poison eye for linen exactly because of creases, but I have embraced them as the clear, visual sign of the crisp look of linen. I also find that linen looks its best on sunny days, the strong light somehow seem to iron out the creases, if it makes any sense.

So, the white linen blazer finally arrived. It doesn't actually seem to be that badly creased, considering it has been squashed up in an envelope for who knows how long. I just threw it on over what I was wearing around the house (and with still-wet hair) and took some photos.

The buttons looked yellowish in the eBay photos but they are actually a sort of mottled white and transparent stuff. I still might replace them with something a little less, er, floral, but I'll have to think about whether that should be black, white, or silver.

Anyway, what do you guys think? It looks a bit snug here but I am also wearing three layers underneath. I do think that overall it fits better than the stripey one. Is it a keep, or a resell?
