Thanks, Angie. And yes, I am a very proud mama of a fabulous young woman. She and her brother are definitely my greatest accomplishments.

Thanks, K!

Thanks for stepping in with pics, Suz. Good visuals for Carter. (Thanks for the kind words). I think we are soooo use to wearing BF jeans that we forget about the normal whiskering on tailored jeans like these on you, Suz and me.

Carter, your DD is gorgeous. Just saw her on Diane's thread in OT. Proud Mama. xo

Yay, Suz! Thanks for posting those pics. I feel much better now. I'm always drawn to pics of outfits with white jeans, but I never seemed to notice the whiskering. I notice when they look too tight, but thw whiskering just seems to come with the turf. You look fabulous in your white jeans, and of course, Angie's the bomb in hers!

Thanks, JulieJohn. I think you're exactly right about tbe length. I do really like a small fold at the cuff in my jeans sometimes, but the right cuff height will also let me uncuff to wear them to work. Perfect!

I always have whiskering on my white jeans, but I don't worry because I also get compliments whenever I wear them. I think the ladies above are right and it is just the way they be. Plus, tho mine are very substantial I wear them in all but the hottest weather. I think you will be happy with these.

I am wondering about the hems. I think if you lean towards a small folded-over part when you hem them, that will help with how they fall around the foot. A more seasoned seamstress would know for sure.

I do think the white shows more pulling around the crotch area for sure. And look -- here are mine. Everybody always raves about how well they fit me. They are doing the same thing. They don't feel tight -- in fact, they feel loose (they tend to stretch out some during the day.) So there you go.

And look -- Angie's do it, too.

Thanks, Catnip! I agree that looser is better in hot weather, but these are such thick denim that I'm not sure I could wear them in mid-Summer anyway. I do have a pair of bootcuts that are lighter-weight and loose, so they'll work in the heat if I have to wear long pants. Thanks for the advice on the length. My eye has so adjusted to scrunch, that these stumped me.

Hooray, Angie! I spent some time on Pinterest this morning looking at white jeans. They all (like 99%) seem to have the crotch whiskering going on, so maybe it's just a fact of life in white jeans?

Golden, I am planning to order a size up to compare. I also have a slightly different cut on the way. We'll see! These do feel really good on.

Thank you, Joyce! I really wanted to add a pair of straight white jeans to the closet this year.

You look great in these jeans! Perhaps a little looser would be more comfortable in hot weather, but these look fine. I find that white denim is stiffer than blue denim, so a bit more room is necessary. White denim doesn't scrunch too well, so the length may need to be a tad shorter than with blue denim.

Thanks, ladies. I'll try a size up. The front and back rises are right smack in the middle of the rises of other jeans that fit me well. Maybe it's the additional spandex. These are 95/5. The others are either 98 or 99% cotton with only 1-2% spandex.

A lot of times the issue is actually in the rise, not the width. So changing sizes might not make a difference. Interestingly, a too high rise (for you) and a too low rise for you can have a similar effect. I haven't figured out how that works. But I also think that lighting plays a role. It's quite possible if these photos were taken in a different light you wouldn't even notice this. Especially if you are not feeling any pulling there.

I think the fabric has enough body to make the whiskering not a big deal, but I always like to try the larger size, too, just to make sure. BTW --- my white jeans are actually a bit big on me, but I still have the whiskering from loose fabric there. I like the straight leg and the rise on you.

I was thinking that a size up may be in order, particularly since white jeans need to be washed more often than blue jeans. I'll give it a shot. Unfortunately, with these hips, whiskering is a fact of life. I can't stand the look (on me) of a waist that has been taken in too much.

Thanks, Suz. Same size, same pair in all 3 shots. I was modeling them for my husband with different top options, so thought I'd snap pictures while I was at it. The other pair that came in this package was the skinny bootcut, but they were a no-go. The last one that hasn't come yet is the 7FAM Classic Straight (I think). The Kimmies are curvier (as I am). You can see a slight outline of the pockets IRL, but I'm hoping that as they stretch with wear, they won't be noticeable. If they are, I'll just cut them out.
