These hit exactly at my ankle.<br />I'm also not sure about the rise - I need a tall size in length only, not in the rise. I think these will look good with a short heel but I think I'm going to like them rolled a little higher on the leg. If you are going for the long look, it might be prudent to look for a pair with a longer inseam. After that, I would just wear them when going out or on weekend trips. DH and I spend a lot of summer weekends at a small town on the NY side of Lake Ontario, and they would work for the cooler evenings. Even though they have a subtle print (leopard), I think I could wear them as a solid. On the other hand,&nbsp;I have several pairs of new pants - the Leith pants, berry/pink ankle pants, and grayish blue ankle pants. The 8's are loser in the front, the 6's have more wrinkling.
