I steamed the gray cardi (3/4). It steamed beautifully smooth. Unfortunately when I put it on, it rippled around my hips even more, to the point where the cardi went from a maybe to a definite no (pic below). Then when I tossed it on my bed, it wrinkled up like you wouldn't believe (Firecracker called it), and that won't work either.</p> <p>All in all I'm quite disappointed in my foray into Violeta by Mango. I think they're trying to fit a completely different person from me. I love the new blouse; you are a total knockout in that outfit; the pumps and your hair back give an extra dressiness to the look.&nbsp; I want the gray cardigan to work. I am not bothered by fluttering at the hips--I'm not sure I see what you're seeing. But to me, there is a little bit of gapping under the arm, and I agree with Laura that a more substantial fabric might be better. I think it would hang more nicely. I don't dislike 3/4 but if you know it's going to bug you don't keep it. It seems like you need a slightly sturdier, less flowy topper in general with your figure, and these are all drapey and close to the body. I am a 10-12 on top so I figured I'd fit into the size range posted. I ordered a 12 (or equivalent S) in everything.</p> <p>1, 2. Blouson Pitti: I love the asymetrical neck! (<span>skirt Vince Camuto, pumps SE).<br /></span><br />3,4. Jacket Gusto in medium gray. The fabric (95% viscose, 5% elastane)&nbsp;is fine, light, and soft. I definitely could use a piece like this. The problem is that I have a poison eye for tops and jackets rippling around my hips. What do you think? Flattering enough to get over my poison eye, or should I pass?&nbsp;(jeans AE, top Brass Plum, belt Lucky,&nbsp;flats Talbots)</p> <p>5. I got this Barbara cardigan in navy to wear as a color with black, as pictured. I'm unhappy with how it looks, but I couldn't get it to look as bad in the pics as it did to me IRL! So I put it with white. More rippling and quite shapeless IMO. However the fabrication was lovely--back and sleeves a really fine soft&nbsp;knit, fronts a flat silky woven material. (jeans KUT, sandals SE)</p> <p>6. Cardigan Autumn in black. The wool blend is heavy and scratchy, and won't work as a transitional piece for me. The cut is not bad, though! (jeans H&amp;M, flats AGL)</p> <p>7. Silk blend Secret tee--only 10% silk! I wish I'd ordered a size down. But since the material is heavy and a bit scratchy, it won't work when the temps climb into the 80s as they have lately, so I'll just return it.</p> <p>Conclusion: I think the cut of these toppers is somewhat more suited to an hourglass or pear figure. I didn't have enough below the waist to fill them out. This is a fairly common problem for me though, not just here. I like the fashion sensibility and I think the prices were quite fair for the quality (and vice versa), keeping in mind that I got these half off!</p> <p>8. Just for fun--my quick take on Diane's awesome outfit! I need a longer red top to make it work. But it was super fun to put together using what I had!</p>
