I like them both, especially for something cheap and easy to clean! The first looks classic and maybe a little equestrian, and the second has a really cool shape.

I think the most important thing for you is how they wash. I think they both look good - the second one I want to see styled and the first one seems like a good basic. I like the length!

Thanks for weighing in, everyone. Cocolion, that's what I paid for each of these - I used coupons and they were on sale. Maybe while I'm out tomorrow I'll pop in to H & M and see what they have.
Suz, you're right, I do think I need to try styling them and see if that changes things. I do think the black one looks kind of frumpy and I don't know if I could jazz it up or not. The return window is long at JCP. I once returned curtains two years after I bought them, still in the packaging and with the receipt, and JCP took them back, no questions.

They both fit you well But the second one is more interesting.

I quite like the grey one too -- but I always have a hard time styling that shape.

Hells bells I sure like the second one a ton! The black is okay, I wouldn't worry about button placement as long as it is near the smallest part of your mid body. For me that would be quite high and I would be happy.

I don't think these are bad at all! Let's see them styled up a bit when you have time. Unless the return window is super short, that is.

I'm not sure about either one. I agree, Diane, I think the stance on the black blazer could be lower. As for the gray one, at first I liked that odd lapel, after trying it on I'm not so sure.

I am all for jackets that are washable and not too fussy for kids. I think the button could be lower, but it doesn't look bad, and you wouldn't have to always be on your guard with it.

I think the black blazer looks good. No it's not a Theory jacket, but I'm assuming it's machine washable so perfect for your needs.

I got a blazer from H&M last year, $39 hand wash cold (but I stuck it in the machine, cold, hang to dry -- it came out perfectly). It is great for waiting tables, I can get it stained and not worry.

I'm not as sure about the grey jacket, unless you have a wardrobe hole and this would complete some outfits.

I like the second blazer, but I do find the button to be a little high for my liking on the black one and I think the stance could do with being a tad lower. I think the button should hit at waist level, though don't quote me on that

I've been looking for not-too-expensive blazers - don't want to spend too much what with working with kiddos all day - but I think these are a miss, not a hit. They are not styled in the photos, just tossed on with part of what I was wearing that day.

Is the button on the black blazer up too high to be stylish? Is the second blazer stylish at all? I think I need to up my price point and just be careful when all those sticky fingers want to come and hug me. It was easier when I taught at the HS - no student wants to hug you there!
