I am doubtful about the second pair. It’s hard to tell from the side view, however, it looks like there is an unflattering wrinkle forming right under your butt. Also, the pockets look like they are causing funny creases in the side view, possibly because of the fit.

Denim stretches out, so the fit of the first pair doesn’t bother me as much as the second, but they also look like they are pulling across your hips. I think you can find something better.

I personally am not purchasing any mid or low rise denim, but that is a matter of my body type. A high rise feels better to me and I think it fits better because my rise is proportionally long. I am still purchasing skinny high rise denim. I like wearing them under my dresses, and they work best with boots in the snow. I cannot see the logic of going to wide legs or hems and having wet, cold, soggy hems in the winter!

I really like pair #2 on you! It's sort of understated bombshell! A tad on the androgynous side, but still retro and ladylike. The colour is also great on you, and maybe versatile in your wardrobe? BUT if they don't fit right, there's no reason to keep them. Jeans shouldn't tug or pull, but fit like a glove. If not they will drive you crazy and/or never get worn. My two cents!

I don’t like the first pair on you ,they make your legs look shorter than they are and they look too tight. The second pair are more flattering but I think that you could do better in the jeans department so I vote send them back.

I am soo going over budget this month with all my online shopping an a trip into town planned in two weeks on top. I noticed a bunch of models from a sustainable denim brand were on sale from a go-to webshop (with free delivery and returns) and still available in my size... so I ordered three styles hoping to find that elusive super comfortable but flattering pair of cropped summer jeans. It did not happen, but I’m still contemplating keeping two (!) pairs anyway. They wer advertised as cropped but on me they’re ful length...

1 is a skinny model, too skinny in fact in the legs to be very comfortable in hot weather, so I shouldn’t keep it. But the color is nice and the midwaist is comfy and the fit good, I think? What to do? Is it still a good idea to spend on skinny jeans with such a low waist or are they soon going to be very passé’?

2 is a tight on the hips, looser in the legs high waisted pair. I will have to assess comfort again on a differeent day when I’m not bloated lol. Again, not the easy weekend wear staple I need, but the hip & bum hugging style and sophisticated color scratched an itch, I think my hidden ‘demure bombshell’ is asking for attention.

It’s hard assessing fit when denim tends to stretch: my last purchases all erred on the large side.

I welcome all comments, especially brutally honest ones :). I know my shopping is getting a bit out of hand and it skews my judgment.
